Bozja is extremely disappointing (especially the 5.45 update)

You'd think after truly refining the Eureka experience across four different zones in Stormblood that the follow-up (Bozja) would take all of the things that ended up working in Eureka and including them...and yet, no.

Ranking up in Bozja feels completely unimpactful. It helps you access more of the map and that's it. In Eureka it felt like levels had actual weight to them, you could run past lower level monsters and you could finally ride mounts. In Bozja, even at max rank, enemies from the very start of the zone will chase you--and they chase way too far before finally giving up.

The fate balance in Eureka also worked--NMs scaled with the number of people in a zone. Meanwhile I haven't the faintest clue what the balance in Bozja is based on, because some fates take wayyy too long to die while others die in an instant and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason.

Eureka also felt like essential content as it was the only/best way to get your relic. The alternatives to Bozja are so much easier that it just makes Bozja feel like a waste of time.

Eureka also had a fun mini-game of sorts in there with the bunny fates which keep Eureka alive to an extent TO THIS DAY, and they haven't implemented anything of that sort into Bozja?

But by far the worst thing to happen to Bozja is today. Maybe it was already explicitly mentioned, but I truly believed we were getting a new large-scale instanced zone today and I was very optimistic that it would fix my grievances with the Southern Front, but no. We got a 24-man instanced raid and that's it? And a 48-man savage version?

This is completely uninspired and, frankly, disappointing content.

Bozja suckzorz.

So you expected something that they never announced? Have you beaten the new content yet?

As fun as the duty is, I feel absolutely no desire to run it more than a single time with how godawfully long that was (on top of the fact I burned through a massive amount of lost arise because people kept floortanking). It feels like it's just two back-to-back alliance raids shoved into one duty, but without the added benefit of being able to refill your ranks if somebody drops. 's not very well designed, in my opinion.

Bozja is... just not great content overall. It really feels like a worse Eureka, and I hate Eureka.

And you're not nitpicking about the duty being too long? Or because people kept dying? You said the duty was fun (and it seems like the savage version is too) so I don't see the problem except for complaining for the sake of complaining.

We were in there for 2 hours. Even without the dying we'd have shaved off about half an hour, tops. Yeah, it's new and people still have to learn, but having 6(or was it 7?) full-fledged, mechanics heavy, big HP pool bosses one after the other gets really tiring after a while. If you get a low-damage party through RNG that's only going to make it take even longer (since the game doesn't care about proper party balance)

My party was literally 3 tanks and 5 DPS, and we had 1 healer in both other parties. It was silly.

The reason it was fun was because it was my first time, everything's new, and we had a few good laughs. Beyond that it's an insufferably long crawl with rewards that are barely worth running it for. It's like running an undersized Castrum; sure, it's doable, and maybe even fun if it's your first time, but it's going to take about half an hour longer than it has any right to and really drag near the end.

The mechanics introduced in it are cool, but legit, I'd rather have had just a second raid storyline rather than having to go through Bozja for these fights. It feels like it would've benefitted from that a lot more, especially with how these fights are actually designed (LOOKIN' AT YOU HOT/COLD)

As someone who was away from the game for some time because of personal reasons, I went to Bozja for the first time today. I spend around an hour trying to solo fates, because no one was doing them in the first location, somehow got to level 5, made it to the other location, got to participate in one fate with a train which after that left to another area I have no access to. And on that note I left because, oh boi, it is so boring and exhausting.
