People on controller can't stafe with legacy controls. This is an absurd downside for people with motion sickness!! The only way for us to strafe is standard camera (which is pretty bad con controller and it has also back paddling, doing content with it is like suiciding). Please SE give us a way to strafe on controller, we want to play normally.
I think just removing Auto adjustment on legacy mode would resolve the problem, it can only be removed on standard camera.

This issue is so old and was posted so often already. They just have to remove the camera autoadjust that points in the direction you walk to prevent it... but for some reason they wont allow us that change. (for non gamepad users that is essentially what you do when you hold the camera in one direciton with a mouse click for example; so it wont jump back behind your char during movement)
HUD team did so many changes, but the real basics like this one gets ignored since 2.x ... its hilarious. You dont wanna search for a hunt for example this way, it really gives you a blurry vision and it doesnt feel pleasing at all, can understand the motion sickness reference.
Edit: To extend on that, for another weird reason: you fly faster upwards (z axis) if you fly diagonally than straight up, that also means your characters camera will adjust to that flying in circles upwards automatically on gamepad. Idk why mounts are like 30% slower while just gaining height compared to flying x/y + z axis but whatever, that camera movement just sucks too. -

Do you mean like with the lock on feature where the camera hard targets whoever you are fighting? That's not really the ideal way to play because it limits your ability to look around the field which is critical for multiple fights. Better to just use free control of the camera. -

The free camera in legacy autoadjust to the way you run, on keyboard it doesn't (or well, you can simply prevent by holding a mouse button - there is no toogle function that allows us to get that perk on controller)Quote:

In legacy mode when you go right, you don't go straight right(szrafing), you do circles because the camera rotate, so if you wanna go straight you have to move the camera manually, so you don't ever go really straightQuote:
