Character Deletion

Hi hello! My friend being an idiot deleted his character but sent in a support ticket 5 minutes later through this https://support.na.square-enix.com/f...qtop&c=61&sc=0page. It's been an hour? He's panicking hard. He had another character in another world in the same datacenter but this site kept saying he doesn't have an account so he can't log in. Hence I'm writing this instead of him.

He had a private house. Says his house is gone for good. Will he at least get the gil back? So he can buy it back? I understand the furniture is recoverable through NPC?

I'm hoping he can get his character recovered within 24 hours so we can all relax and stop panicking.

Sadly with all the problems in the world right now, there's potential it might take longer too :(

I'm afraid the housing question is also partially answered there as well, but it's not good news:

Although it doesn't directly say it, I don't believe he'll be able to recover housing items or Gil from the NPC because if the character and housing was outright deleted, it was likely never sent to that storage NPC (it wouldn't make sense to send it there if the character is being deleted). Obviously I could be wrong there, but I think he should prepare for the worst.

It's been 27 hours and as per the character restoration support desk my friend contacted them again after the initial 24 hours but no response. Not even a yes or no if they're able to help. He's getting more anxious and fretful as time goes by. They were replying to his queries just fine yesterday and quickly too. But when it did count, as they said characters need 24 hours to be restorable, they just went quiet. This friend of mine has a wedding coming up ingame too. Not to mention his housing situation. Is this normal? To not even get a reply? An affermation or anything?
Anybody been through this?

You mention support desk, but did he actually fill in the form that you yourself linked? There is not restoration via the support desk, it's ONLY restored via that form. Support desk staff don't do database restoration work.

So if he has filled in the form, he just has to wait. As already mentioned above, the form itself says it will take up to 10 days and from what I've heard from people on the forums before, once you've submitted it, it's in progress.

Unfortunately with COVID-19 causing the entire world problems right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it's longer though and he should prepare for that too...

Ah forgot to update this!
He got support from the said form a few hours after my last update. Everything's been restored thank goodness. But he did lose the house. At least at least he got everything else back in piece.

Did they restore even housing items? There were concerns about it too as far as I got it.

Glad to hear that I was wrong and it was faster than I expected!

Nope. Lost all housing items. At least it was a small house with only the garden fully furnished. He did lose some house warming gifts though. Real shame about those. :( He won't get the same crafter signature back on those.
