SE, please suspend the housing demolition timer because of the coronavirus

Billions of Chinese people are extremely stressed because of the coronavirus and a lot of them are on lockdown. Even overseas Chinese are worried about their family back in China, especially Wuhan. It will be a nice gesture if we suspended the housing demolition timer. It would really suck if they got the coronavirus and fell sick, get quarantined, and come home only to find out their house was demolished.

Running out of ideas, uh?

He isn't technically doing anything that is against the rules. Furthermore, if the moderators were to step in to deal with suspected trolling then we'd be in for a bad time since even innocent joking around could result in a ban. Hypothetically, if the OP is trolling then the intention is to likely get a reaction. Something posters around these parts offer up in spades not only here but on Twitter as well. The best method is to simply not post at all in such threads and to instead participate in or create threads that are a bit more high brow.

I'm half Chinese and I work in health insurance for the Chinese in the US and the coronavirus is a very serious concern with a lot of people and even I am at risk of infection, so the local forum troll spreading lies about the Chinese during a crisis as troll bait is pretty disgusting to me. This troll has no shame and his racist lies DOES NOT BELONG ON THIS FORUM.

Understandable. You can click on his name, takes you to profile page, then click to ignore (you may be aware of this, but some readers may not). His posts will be hidden in threads (although threads he starts will still display, just not his posts).
