So just came back to the game the other day and I'm not sure what class to play. I've tried them all out a little bit, and I like them all. I was just wondering is there a tier list? Or... which classes are pretty good right now?

Other than minuscule differences, there's very few situations you'll find any class for any role outright refused.
Sure some people have complaints, but they're pretty exaggerated. Play what you like, even if that means you play them all.
There's almost never been a tier list for classes in the game, everyone's just sorta that evenly balanced. -

If you're even above average as one of them then you will contribute the same rDPS as one of the best RDMs, BRDs, MCH and so on in the world. Without looking at the numbers i would put them on the same tier as SAM, just below the big 3. Don't quite me on that though. In general, you can't go wrong with any melee class + BLM. Non-BLM ranged and casters are in a bad spot right now.Quote:

It doesn't matter too much which dps you choose despite the imbalances, though at the moment the best classes are any melee or black mage.
Go black mage if you want pure damage, go monk if you want bard's utlity and samurai's dps rolled into one grossly overtuned class. -
