Retainer menu updates slowly

I'll click on the summoning bell, look at my stuff and go "oh I guess nothing sold" sometimes for days after something sold. The gil they have for me doesn't update for days after selling stuff(according to sales history after actually grabbing the gil). Sometimes I'll see that something sold and excitedly click on my summoning bell and see that... there's no way to tell which retainer it sold on without going to each one individually and clicking on the gil part.

Might be an idea to post in bug reports section of forums with all the details they need.

Is that a bug? I just thought you dont see any updates to gil until youve called and dismissed them once. Legit thought that was just how it was supposed to be.

I have no idea if it is a bug or indeed "working as intended" - best way to confirm is via the bug report and they will accept or not I guess. I'm not a great fan of the new retainer popup - seems to actually slow down interaction when you have multiple retainers for me.

You have to actually call them. Just checking the retainer menue won't update their gil. This is not a bug.

*nods* It's always been this way. You need to talk to the individual retainer to have their information reflect in the UI.

Then it's poor design, and means the gil display is utterly meaningless.
Why only display the gil they have after you've closed the menu that gives you access to it?
It makes it useless information, besides "oh look, you forgot to check their gil."

Ok I guess that sort of makes sense - would be great if they did a sneaky check of the balance as you clicked on the bell though so it was updated for you :)

Didn't said it was a good design. Just stated as it is right now. Personally I would prefer as well if I can just see how much gil they are carrying around without talking to them. But hey - They might adjust to this as well in the future.
