Was the THM now blm mp shortage addressed in this patch?

I cannot seem to run out of mana, infact i have to hold off to avoid hate.
The mana shortage beginning of last patch sucked, but people learned around it. I hated and began to love to strategy of to use my mana meaningfully. While its fun to nuke stuff nonstop so is strategy, i am torn. has any one else noticed its hard to run out of mana?

How do you have to hold off? Maybe it's just the tank I run with, but cycling QS, Cham, and Freeze, I rarely if ever go red. Always running Convert too. Maybe you're using Freeze at the wrong time, don't use it right away, do it more-so when you really need too since it appears to be a flat decrease (not 100% positive).

The less hate you have, the more you'll be able to crank out, that should give you the "mp issue" that THM had prior. Although, you now have Convert to fall back onto :D

Yeah, I have; but I guess it gives convert a different use, spam all the nukes you want and get back your HP when you steal hate. haha

But yeah, I think it'd be best to conserve MP than throw it around as it is now.

No cause when soloing THM is much better than blm and you still have to sit and wait for mp to regen. I think convert recast timer is far too long cause whm can recover x10 more mp before we even use convert a second time. WHM/CNJ can revover 680+ mp every min and convert has an 6:30 cool down time.If whm uses Blissful mind every 1 min they get back a little over 4k mp in 6 mins and that's not even factoring in their other mp skill where blm gets back about 2-2.3k mp back every 6:30...

As in "solo" or "party" i hardly see my group's BLM run out of MP D: not sure about solo thou.. sorry >_< i haven't level that far in DoM :D

I almost feel OP as White Mage now with MP regen from BRD. Unless I'm nuking and healing, I never run out of mp.

Why are you comparing mana regen of two different jobs? They play differently and they are responsible for two different roles in party play. A whm needs to have enough mana at all times to keep the party alive and a blm does not. Blm controls their own mana pool while the current fight controls a whms'. If a whm could stop a boss from doing any damage long enough for them to stop and recover mana whenever they needed it, you might have a valid point.

It is a Valid point cause THM is a sitting suck when it has no mp. Saying whm needs mp to always heal is the same for thm/blm they mp to do dmg that's all. I'm sorry if you wanna do all your fight's standing one spot but i don't. MNK as of right now can hardly run out of tp cause of spinning heal / invig but that doesn't make them op if they wanna live. Having mp ready does not make you op in whatever way, only thing you need to know if you over nuke you die that's all.

Also to use your whm example, Whm having almost unlimited mp does that make them OP? No cause you can die from spamming to many cure's and it should be the same case for blm. If you spam to many nuke's = death.

You do have a choice to stop nuking if your hate is high, though. You can't really choose to stop healing in most cases.

You could stop healing, but it may generate a large amount of hate from the defeated character.
