Q2. What type of race or clan would you most like to see added in the future?

A mixture of all answers. This will lead to a wide variety of playable race in Eorzea which will also lead to dynamic game play.

NPC: All NPC need to speak. This is 2012 if a game does not have NPC that do not speak a consumer will likely note the game was not created for consumer in mind. If all NPC were to speak this will give more life to Eorzea.

Design: The current world of Eorzea is dull. The only real reason why consumers are still playing is to see how 2.0 will look like. Eorzea needs to create a dimension to feel like another world a player can explore.

Player Character: A player should be able to set a mood for his character. In detail if a player is feeling down all his emotes will be in a manner of sadness and appearance. If a player is happy all his emotes will be of joy and appearance. If a player angry his emotes will be of anger and appearance. These are just examples. If this is added this will also give life to a character and the world around the character which can create a more realistic game play.

Battle System and Combat Classes

Q1. What type of jobs/classes would you most like to see added?

Ninja, Summoner and Arithmetician. This will lead to a wide range from jobs to choose from also game play will be more interesting.

Other

Individuality: There is no player individuality. There should points of path where a player can take a point where his or her game experience such as quest and special items reward are completed to his playing style and what he or she wants to experience in Eorzea.

Item drop rate: Higher chance in a instanced raid and out for attack able NPC.

Grand Company & Main Quest: Story needs to be longer. Current story is to short does not feel like you are do anything. Story is the key word.

Note: This is a Final Fantasy game. Where are the elements of a Final Fantasy. This is the main reason why such a goal to create a true game was not successful.

I wish the best and hope 2.0 will lead to many people who love the Final Fantasy series to enjoy FFXIV for as what a Final Fantasy game should be.

Last a player should not feel they are compelled to play FFXIV because they pay a subscription fee of $9.99. There should be many enjoyable things to do in FFXIV. If you want to see the success of the Final Fantasy name the team and workers need to ask what made them work for a title like Final Fantasy which will bring true success to FFXIV.

Very curious about Arithmetician. I cant wait to cast thunder on all nearby creatures and players who's current height level is a multiple of 3.

I'd like to add a few things that didnt fit into my 500 word list.
I have suggested many of these things before thou.

Craftable furnitures, such as tables, chairs bookshelfs, fish-tanks, rugs,
general interior design for the upcomming private housing.
Chairs , beds etc should also be useable to sit on etc.

Not to mention the option to "Sign" & "Sell" the items on an Aution House / wards / Bazaar.

The new races mostly eluded my vision's since it more or painted a
non-visual picture on a few of the suggestions.

There werent any pictures of what the FFXIV staff had in mind.

Lizard type reminded me of Elder scrolls lizard, but idk.
So i picked demon with horn mainly because it reminded me of
the FFXI demon's running around in xarcabard.

Mounts, well i'll prolly get flamed for liking more mounts but meh.

Vanity pets, yes please. (if not...why not?)

Infact, i'd steal all other "Ok" & "Good" mmo's ideas & slap em
in FFXIV, it wouldnt make it less FFXIV anyway.

Jobs / classes id like to see in 2.0:
Well obviously, Assassin (ninja or thief...i prefer both) Beastmaster, Summoner.

It's about time we get some new Areas, and i dont mean anything in the vicinty of the current world.
However i would imagine i would have to wait until 2.0.

Last one, why cant BLM have / use some of the Conjurer's abilites?
It would be nice with a Raise, Poison or more elemental spells for BLM.
Maybe im getting ahead of myself and some might be available after level cap raise or a few changes, idk.
Using Pug's second wind with no tp requirement is nice thou, but PUG as option for sub-abilities seems wrong.

A couple of the questions referred to repairs and materia melding requiring either a specific class (as it is right now), or allow any crafter class to perform these functions.

I would have suggested a third choice, similar to the skill "Supplement" which allows you to briefly swap tools for a synth:

Allow a player to repair or meld any item when they are a DoH job, as long as the class and level requirement for the item has been attained by the player. May or may not include the need for the tool to be in their inventory as well.

Scenario 1 (How it is now):
1: You have an Electrum Needle equipped, 50 weaver. Also a 50 Armorer with Cobalt Raising hammer in inventory.
2: You see a gladiator who needs armor and cloth repairs.
3: You select "repair all" in the repair UI
4: Cloth gear is repaired, "armorer needed" error is thrown back.
5: You change jobs to Armorer.
6: You select "repair all" in the repair UI
7: Armor gear is repaired.

Scenario 2 (How I would like to see it):

I think that so long as the rules of the repair are satisfied, the limitations of swapping the gear and re-repairing gear should be abolished.

Also, make it so we have a similar method to self-repair, please.

I agree, having NPCs that can speak would be really awesome. I understand it would cost a lot to implement this, but after 2.0 it could be a good thing to add gradually for all NPCs. It doesn't have to be in all languages too, just Japanese or English would more than enough.

I partly agree with this. Having a mood feature would be great, but not to the point to affect all emotes. I'd rather go with a simple facial expression change and posture for idle characters.
For example, right now for my character, at character creation I picked a face with a stern look. So, my character is always dead serious unless I do an emote (which goes well with the current grim world setting). It would be nice if I could sometimes change it for a cheerful face during seasonal events or things like that. Also, having a few choices for default posture would be awesome (reflects a character-player's personality).

I agree on the raid thing, raids and Primal battles are really difficult as is, the drop rate should NOT be that frustrating. I understand it was designed for players with no life to live, but it is also content that casual gamers want to experience once in a while. However, right now that only reward most casual gamer can expect is the simple fact of winning the raid/Primal since the drops are too terrible and casual gamers don't have the time to try every raid/Primal a hundred times each to get their loot.
I say, make the fight harder but with a drop rate of 100% for all players (I'm talking about totems/nuts for Primals [with 100% drop of totem/nut per player, it is still 70 Ifrit battles or 140 Moogle battles to get all the weapons, that's a lot!], but rare loot items for raids). It is much more fun that way because you know the end of it will be rewarding, not frustrating.

Rather than make a new thread, figured I'd just put it here, since you guys were already discussing the poll.

Anyways, I dunno if someone already did this or not, but as I've done these for previous polls (I wasn't going to make one this time but I got bored and I saw a few posts here from people saying they were curious about the results sooo), I thought I'd continue on for the third poll and make another mock survey. As usual this is so we can kind of get an idea of the results before they make them public. Of course the results probably won't reflect the real results, but I think it's still fun to see nonetheless.

Hello Nakiamiie,

The only real example I can give to this thought would be a point of growth like a tree to different abilities that can be used, armor and etc. The prime point of this would just be just more individuality to your character and how he or she plays in Eorzea.

One final example would be Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. The three playable characters had different abilities they were able to use plus battle style. This made it very interesting game and enjoyable.
