Targeting issue in Ghimlyt Dark

I tried this one last night for the first time and it's a great dungeon, but as a tank I had a lot of targeting issues (I'm on PS4), and lost aggro on the occasional mob during my pulls because there are so many ally npc's around the area that I was targeting by mistake instead of the mobs in my pulls.

I'll make some adjustments next time I go in, but how are you guys controlling your targets as tanks?

Have you considered using a targeting filter that doesn't include NPCs/Objects?

as a fellow controller user on pc this irked me a bit because its been forever since i had to change my targeting in this game

Yup, try that and see if it helps. For reference I changed mine so that when weapon is drawn it only targets enemies, mostly eliminates the issue. The only downside is sometimes when you need to target an NPC you have to sheath weapon. (your character is listed as WHM so I'll assume you heal occasionally which is mainly where this particular issue might arise)

I don't play on PS4, but I do use a controller. I'm familiar with the targeting issues you've described, but I don't think they are the reason why you would lose aggro on any mobs. Assuming you're talking about trash packs, I think it's far more likely that you had DPS inexplicably single-targeting trash pulls and perhaps you may benefit from throwing in one more AoE aggro skill (flash, overpower, w/e) when you first begin the pull. Generally, I haven't had aggro issues in this dungeon unless the healer throws regen on me or something pre-pull, and even then I just have to double back real quick and flash again before moving on to the next pack.

I am also playing on PS4 and I'm not really experiencing any issues. I never targeted any of the numerous ally NPCs on the field, since I don't think that's even possible with the way targeting controls are set up? If anything, I thought this was actually one of the easier dungeons to tank.

Though I might occasionally stay behind a few seconds too long, because I mistake those mobs that specifically only appear to fight the NPC allies for fresh spawns. ='D
