Okay umm.....I know that the whole "Lalafells are children" thing is a meme that's been going on for a while,but things got.....a little awkward a few days back
You see,I was going for a wild hunter motiff for my Lalafell's glams(haven't settled on a whole set)which involved my character having the Emperor's rope glam for the upper body part(you know what it does) alongside Rathalos's gear from Monster Hunter.
Then I run into this one player(who ironically is also a lalafell)who just noticed my glam after the boss and was like "eww gross a naked child".....it didn't seem like a joke compared to how we usually joked about with other players I met.
First off,I'm pretty sure it's obvious by now that there are dozens upon dozens of older lalafells around Eorzea,nothing in lore states they are a race of children like say the Kokiris from Zelda Ocarina of Time.Small people/midgets do exist y'know
Secondly,if people are gonna be perverts and interpret it in a sexual way when that was never my intention in the slightest,thats their fault not mine,I would've done this glam set anyway whether I was a lalafell or not.The Hunter glam I was going for was just a part of an RP fic I came up with for my character for Stormblood considering what you do in the Azim Steppe,the fight with Rathalos and how currently I'm going to finish my GC hunting log.
If you're a lalafell player,did you struggle with a similar thing or something close to it?Just wondering cuz I can't be the only one who had such an awkward experience with this

That’s the advantage of being a male Lalafell. I can dress however I want because I have facial hair. Actually on second thought. I never tried dressing like that. I dress like a dork.
