I am gonna be extremely blunt in this post. And i hope the gm cm and devs see it too cause it is utter BS
I do not think it is fair or right for the gm support team to admit to the fact they are aware of a bug where housing timers are accelerated and that there is nothing they can do to pay back to those who lost their house due to a freaking bug on their end. There is something you SHOULD have done.
TURN THE FREAKING TIMERS OFF TILL YOU FIXED THE GD BUG that would have been the smart thing to do but no you didn't you just let it go and let people lose their hard work. In all my years of being a square enix (soft) fan of ff games and the like and a ff11 vet and ffxiv 1.0 player i have never been more repulsed at the company's dev team for ffxiv.
You had better fix that bug and if you have you better think of a recoup to us players you basically screwed with you bs. And a edit I know many who did camp at house etc and still lost it

Sincerely all the players whose house were lost due to your error and screw up.

It is my firm opinion that if you do not have the OCD capacity to visit your house at least every ten days, you don't deserve the house. So in a way, the bug is God's way of punishing the undisciplined players unlike me. I camp at my FC house every week. It's not going away anytime soon.

And i know many who did that and still lost their house

Tell those many people to actually file a bug report here on the forums, so they properly investigate the issue.

Til now all we keep getting is hearsay - the cat of the friend of a cousing of mine totally stepped into their house and they still lost it!

We had this whole thing a while ago on the forums and as far as I recall, they looked into it but couldnt find or confirm a bug, so unless people bring evidence that they actually did lose their house because of one (aka: filing the needed bug report) there is nothing to fix on their end. I dont remember seeing any GM admitting that there is indeed a problem with housing timers - quite the opposite: The last thing I heard was that they looked into it, but couldnt confirm any bug.

So please, if you have actual evidence to the contrary, if you know people who definitly losted their houses because they didnt step into them (INTO the house, you have to enter it through the door, stepping into the garden doesnt cut it) encourage them to file bug-reports here on the OF.
But dont start this panic out of hearsay again, please.

As much as the timer sucks: Its a necessary evil within this housing-system. But trying to get it turned off by spreading potential lies isnt going to help.

So its bugged again or is this a rant from some time ago that just came up now?

there is a rule. 45 days.
If the team around FFXIV (GM, devs, and all other) cant follow their own rules, it is their matters.
No way to discuss about "yes or no the destroy systeme is good thing" or "45 days are too much should lower to 10" We can speak about this, but... not the matter there.

Many people dont go forum, they just see on patch notes and other place "go inside your house at least once in 45 days or loose it" If anyone want to take benefit of it (like, not taking his subscription for one month or little more, for personnal reason, he can come back after 44 days, go in, save his house and play again)

If the rule you show is false. the result is simple. You have a customer, who losts his house, even if he did respect rules. And a "sorry" is short as answer... He loses the house (20% of money only, but he did probably want this spot speciffically, maybe even this house because a friend did get the one near, etc etc) the time spend to put all things in (it can be a lot of time). And this, even as being a good customers that obeys rules...


But, the devs are happy with it... The real matter is there isnt enough houses for everyone, so have to avoid empty. "oh sorry we have a bug" and a bigger turnover on this feature. Freezing the timer (disabling this systeme time to repair it) is the easy way to deal with.

This is from the last housing-panic-thread. Unless I've missed something, they looked into the matter, couldnt confirm a bug and are asking everyone to post their reports so they can investigate those case by case (Thats at least what they said in a follow up post in that thread).

So... unless there is any new information, I concluded that the whole "losing house because of a bug"-thing is a hoax, either designed to frighten people or because someone didnt understand that they had to walk into their house (and not only step into the garden) and is now trying to blame it on a bug.

Again: Timer is annoying, but necessary and working - both to free houses and correctly as in: not demoliting houses before the 45 day mark. Thats what I gathered - until someone brings me actual evidence that there is a bug.
