Does anyone think that Eureka is FFXIV version of FFXI Dynamis?

After spending all day in Eureka I got a flash back of the time I was grinding my first relic weapon in FFXI.

The crystal currency is pretty much the same process as dynamis currency just less amounts.

Magicite Stones are similar to

XP wise same it's still a bit confusing.

Apparently based on group Lv and number of people in party ) / mob / and level difference XP can vary.


Example: Lv 5 solo xp chain with out Fairy support gave me 90+ for first 10 mobs, then 100+ as it reached chain 30. If anyone else attacked it while passing by even was was a huge xp penalty 50-75% penalty -.-. about 7-10 crystals dropped this way for me sometimes 1-5

Same situation all level 5 in full party, faster kills xp dropped 5-20xp max per kill. It hurt even more when others attacked as well into single digits. about 6-10 crystals dropped this way.

We tried it with +5 levels no problems chains were around 150xp+ hardly no drops. IF mobs were 6+ levels no chains but XP were around 200+ a pop. A tad lower if people did not have all 3 Magicites. Not sure if these work as procs for drops though seems I get more as stones went up and proper element is set.

Just like FFXI currency drops varied based on procs and time. Hopefully the weapons are worthy.

Any input or tips would be appreciated.

This is nothing llike Dynamis. especially Dynamis when it was relavant.

Absolutely nothing like Dynamis. Dynamis was an area just for your alliance of players to raid in a large scale battle against powerful monsters who dropped useful items/gear and ultimately was to grind into the strongest weapon in the game that would be competitive for years.

This is just an open zone with mobs to grind out levels so you can then make the grind for crystals more efficient to upgrade gear that is already obsolete.

Dynamis was challenged by players for years, I expect Eureka is be dead within 2-3 weeks.

Well talking back to early days not the current dynamis. I did 4 relics back when you had to use an hour glass, and seems to be the same pattern just less of a grind collect currency ( crystals in this case) do stages to unlock others ect.

Yeah if people don't want to reach lvl cap of 20 and actually try to unlock weapons after reaching a +2. Only reason I'm even doing it is to see that secret menu that unlocks once you have +2 weapon. Hence I said FFXIV version. You still need currency, items, and phases so similar to Dynamis in my opinion. These may take a few months at most depending on your gamestyle.. Then again Relics have never been for everyone and even now that these are easier than FFXI ones people complain is too hard. For once I'm actually looking forward to those who complain about everything to speed things up.

i was in the first NA group on my server to enter Dynamis-Beaucedine, this is nothing like that Dynamis.

Nothing compared to ff11, in ff11 stuff was useful, Eureka's stuff is already obsolete so what is the point to farm for "nothing"

You re aware that people, now that most NM spawn are known, stick together in eureka with the entire map and go from one spot to another to zerg monsters in order to make NM spawn and zerg them, right ?

Fair enough I've been since Beta and was first released, kind of meant it more in the grind to gather crystals and such for relic weapons. I did not mean it was just like FFXI of course it's different, more of the mechanics to gather items to make weapons and gear, then pay with crystals instead of currency. Basic stuff gather, phases, gear not worth it being you can get better outside or craft, and does not show full potential until AFTER you do the +2 versions. Hence a FFIV version, it is an instance just like Dynamis is. While gear does not drop of mobs, we do have to collect a type of currency to get gear/wep enhancements. Same as Dynamis. -.-

Apparently most will interpret this tread as EUREKA IS DYNAMIS should of used a different Thread tittle.

O wow seems you already got the +2 weapons and such , can you please share what you found out are the stats of those menus that we all can't access yet? Being you obiously cleared content of eureka reached lvl 20 and got at least one job +2 and above right? Oh wait or do you mean you only looked at current menus and not the ones that need the +2 in order to access?

Why do people Judge day one with out understanding this -.- well makes sense based on some answers I've seen here and other threads.
