BLM 4.2 Stat Priority

I noticed a lot of the top BLM's are now rocking Crit over Det.
Is that the new skill priority?

Int>SS>DH>Crit>Det?

AFAIK there are 2 philosophy of gearing with 4.2

a full crit setup or a full spellspeed setup

Intelligence > Something > Something else > Literally anything > I don't know what's left

Jokes aside, Spell speed is up to taste.

There can be multiple BIS, the best one is like 1900ish sps and crit if meta or crit heavy comp, but more DH if not.

The set supposed to bring a higher damage potential is the high crit low spellspeed one.

doesn't it depend on movement and mechanics? I can guess as turret crit might have the higher potential but else... not sure bout that but im not a theorycrafter myself : /

Yes, but that also depends on player skill. On the perfect scenario your skill as a player won't let you lose more GCDs than you minimally should during mechanics. And that's why the lower spellspeed set is only potentially stronger. In reallity your player skill,or lack of, will overcome the stats difference most of the times. The damage potential between sets considering flawless gameplay won't be much higher than 0.5% anyways. And that's why people shouldn't stress as much on gearing as they do.

well that’s true - even tho the most of us aren’t on the level where those last few % would make a difference at all it’s still interessting to talk about builds and their potential in theory :p
