Jade Stoa Extreme - not unlocked? Cant find it.

So I've done the Jade Stoa normal tiral and completed it successfully.

word is - you get the unlock from the wandering minstrel in Kugane.

But there's no icon - no prompt - no nothing.

I don't have ilevel 340 just yet....is this needed to make him offer it up or am i missing something?

I'm not able to see it in PF or anything else to indicate its unlocked.

The rumors are true, the extreme is unlocked by the wandering minstrel in Kugane, but the quest icon is not visible on the map, just on the minimap if you are close enough and above his character model.
If you just port to Kugane and checked the map for the questicon you can't see it.
You have to go close to him (direct line of view or minimap reach) to see the questicon.

I actually talked to him..sorry if that wasn't clear.....nothing happened.

That's weird. I absolutely don't have i340 yet but I was able to talk with him and unlock it. Perhaps a bug?

Did you talk to him on a job below level 70 or maybe another job as you completed the normal mode?
Only other thing i can think of is that you have to talk to Byakko after the fight before you get the offering from the wandering minstrel.

Did you finish the quest line for Hell's Lid? It's the only thing I can think of.

This is definitly not required.
My whole static unlocked the Ex fight before going back to the shrine and progressing the quest.

No - was Level 70 Red Mage -- which is what I had when i cleared the Jade Stoa NM trial.

Yes

Check your High-end Duties/Raid Finder to see if you haven't already unlocked it!

You may have already unlocked it. This happened to me with Shinryu Extreme. I went and unlocked it right away, apparently, but a few days later when I was ready to run it, I was like "Ok, let me go unlock this fight" and then was confused or like an hour........lol
