FC Only Plots

What does SE mean by this?

Large = FC only?

Main Division = FC only?

Odd numbers FC only?

The new purchase of all housing plots are currently restricted to FCs until further notice. They announced that this was going to happen weeks ago. Players who already own personal houses can relocate, but no new individuals can purchase housing plots at this time.

Actually I believe what they are referring to is not the sale of plots in general, but Square on the housing site actually said there will be certain plots designated as FC only, not just the sale restrictions.

And I take it they won't tell us which plots are FC only, meaning those of us wanting to relocate have to play trial and error?

It's more likely that they meant the system that's already in place where only FCs can purchase as Naria said, but if there are additional restrictions, we'll likely find out on patch day unless one of the community team snags some clarification beforehand.

They definitely made it sound as though some plots would be reserved for FCs into eternity but it's kind of weird we've gotten no further information on that. Presumably they'd have a different icon on the map or something. So maybe that's not what they meant.

That was one of those points that I suspect could be interpreted/translated a few different ways, rendering the conclusion unclear at best.

I'm sure there will be some rather vocal feedback if they decided to restrict Larges to FC only forever. And really, not sure what they really gain by permanently limiting a few plots. I would figure FCs are less likely to relinquish than private houses at any given time. But maybe they have data that say otherwise.

Gonna be interesting to watch how the new wards play out as months go by, to see how long it takes before anything frees up again after the FC only buyout.

The webpage for housing doesn't seem to say private relocation is an option after maintenance on the 6th. Can someone point out where it shows that private transfers are an option? Has this been officially posted elsewhere. Seems to me it should be clearly spelled out on that page but it isn't.

Again, unless there's some functionality changes, we have the rules that are already in place as of the patch. FCs only can make a fresh plot purchase (ie they don't already own a plot of land) while anyone (fc or personal) can relocate to an available plot as they didn't program any restrictions to relocation.

Oh i see the relocation comment now but still would be nice if it said private.
