So, I am at work and I'm only reading the updated thread from Bayohne. Apparently we're getting our glamour wardrove after all, items stackable to 999 is a very welcome addition and the glamour prisms being unified will help a bunch.

I am taking that people will be locked until the new players watch the cs? We still have to see how much they increase the rewards and if it's worth the wait. Otherwise it will become a dead roulette for a lot of people.

Been following Reddit unofficial translation on Discord. So far nothing really wow me.
Delayed Eureka is disappointing.

I kinda understand the decision. As far as I remember, they wanted to split their content throughout the patch. That would make everything to not be dead at the middle of the patch. It's annoying? well yes, but it is what it is.

For me 4.2 is really promising. New savage, new extreme. Also the record duty option will help my static go through all our mistakes. Glamour system and the 999 stack gonna clean at least two of my reteiners. I can live without eureka for a month but I'm not a player who have everything on 70 so I have a lot to do. As for PVP changes I gonna enjoy it after they balance classes a little more (healers on Rivals wings it's a nightmare).

I really curious about new system of buying a plot for house. I was sure that they not gonna do anything dramatically to housing system but it's still some change.

I'm with Maoska, 4.2 is looking really exciting so far. I'm a bit iffy on the new glamour rules, but we'll see how that pans out.

We can hope they will expand the glamour log in the future. I personally have (please don't judge me) a retainer full of tank glamour, another one full of caster/healer glamour, another one full of the rest of the job's glamour, and a 4th one full of misc. universal glamour (events, cash shop, quest rewards, etc). So this will -at least- clean one of my retainers so I can store additional stuff. And yeah, I'm a glamour addict, I change mine everytime.

Speaking of glamour, reminds me of the Hannish top, the most expensive glamour piece in the market right now. I wonder if the adjustments made to the Hidden Canals of Uznair will affect either its spawn rate or the dropped items, and if it's going to affect the price of them.

In regards to Eureka I was expecting ANOTHER delay, to 4.3, but it looks like they're sticking with the likelihood of 4.25. This is nice and all, though I will need to put decent weapons on my main three jobs to last until they have their SB relics.

The item stack expansion surprised me, and will be useful to me as a crafter and gatherer (and "fisherer").

I had a feeling that we were going to take a trip to Hell'd Lid as a dungeon, though I was curious to see how much of it would be volcanic like the last stretch of Sohm Al hm. Fractal is an interesting choice for the hm dungeon we'll be getting, but will the dungeon itself be interesting for more than 20-ish minutes?

Turning items into glamour? Does this mean I will finally free up 3/4 of my space on one retainer? Sweet. Now to see if Team Yoshi goes through with the SB relics all starting from scratch--meaning our HW Anima relics won't allow us to skip any steps like ARR Zodiac relics did for HW--and, if so, I'll then free up those 13+ spaces by turning my Luxes (and one or two replicas) into glamour. I like this; I like it a lot.

The Chocobo Saddlebags seem to be intended as the "tackle box" fishers were requesting. A 70 slot overworld only any item inventory tied to your personal chocobo should free up space in player's general inventory even if they don't fish.

I have some mixed feelings after this Liveletter. First I was really happy with the glamour changes but I will wait and see how this will turn out in the game itself. It did sound like you cant glamour stuff for the 10 places if they are not in the commode or the chest. But what does that mean if we already have 200 items in it and cant get more in that? Can we use the old and the new system at the same time, so that we can glamour those items that are not in the commode too?

The reducing of the prism and the increase to 999 stacks is amazing. The same with more inventory slots thanks to the chocobo saddlebag. I will just fill it with all tackles and stuff like that. So at least it does seem that 4.2 will help with a bit of our glamour problems but like I said I will wait with my final judgment until we really see it. (Also 10 is way too low since we already have way more jobs than that so the old system has to be there otherwise people will be able to glamour less than before) I also hope that 200 is not the end amount and that they increase this over time. I would be fine if that means that we will forever have to go to the inn if we can store much more in the future.

I am still not sure about Eureka. They barely showed anything about it (and lets remember how long we already knew that this exist) and its not even in 4.2..I also remain skeptic about a completely new system for that. (Never been in FF14 before...so theoretically no fates right?) They hyped stuff like Diadem too and we know how that turned out. I really hoped that we would get more information about that but sadly we still have to wait more. So no real hype for that.

Informations about Housing was barely there and I am not sure if I like them. So we will get more (which we already knew) and the plots will be released over time. This does not change much for sellers and might be good or bad for us players. If someone does not have time later than they will lose their chance to get a house. So imo this will not change much and might take the chance away for some people. Still good that they will release it one week after 4.2 and not directly on patch day. They will only tell us their new rules right before the new patch which I honestly find a bit bad. Yes it might stop people from planning but at the same time it gives us no chance to give them feedback. So we will get it and they cant make changes until the houses are gone again. So I will remain skeptic and negative about that point because I did not feel like anything in the liveletter showed me that there would be great changes with that.

PVP was alright and nothing that interested me much, the same with that record feature. (Its funny how they can take their time and money for such things and yet other things like the glamour take so much time) The changes to perform seems to be nice and at least might help someone like me.

So the 999 stacks, saddlebag and at least 200 items for glamour that I can get rid of are really great, the rest is still kinda mixed.

Funny how much time they took for all their merchandise. And I am kinda a bit annoyed that yet another great emote will be put behind such an expensive and probably limited statue again..Cant you at least stick those emotes in the cash shop too?

I assume we'll be able to use both systems together, because some items like ones that can be put in the armoire can't be used in the commode, so they'd be limiting the outfits you can make in a weirdly restrictive way. Although I probably shouldn't put it past them.
