Any way to see HQ ingredient impact outside of game?

So I'm enjoying putzing around with the crafting simulator (http://ffxiv-beta.lokyst.net/#/simulator), and using it to come up with a recipe for stuff while out of game. But one thing that it is not obvious to me how to do is how to provide the initial starting quality of the recipe? Specifically, I crafted a ton of HQ Quicksilver to use to make HQ Poison Potions for the Leve that wants them, and I have a recipe that the simulator claims will work 100% of the time with 90+% chance to HQ assuming NQ materials. But I'd like to input the actual impact of HQ Quicksilver and see how it does. How does one go about that outside of the game? Thanks in advance!

No real way to do it besides just writing down the numbers the item gives and putting those into the simulators. :\

Individual, no. Short of checking the recipe in the drop down or writing them down from n game but all HQ is always half the quality bar.

I may be remembering wrong, but for some recipes it's impossible to have 50% of the bar as they may use materials that can't be HQ, like Demimateria.

You are right. There are some things you can't get HQs for. So the 1/2 of the HQ bar won't work for those.

Oh I remember it very clearly! Back in the old days, I made sooooo many shiny i95 aspected primal weapons! Although they're only for glamor, I always tried my best to HQ them for the sake of my pride. And since they were ridiculously difficult to HQ, I tried to get as many HQ mats as possible. Thus, I remember very clearly that despite my effort, I could only gain soooo little quality from using HQ mats! The Tremor (Titan) weapons were slightly easier because you could cheat with 10x HQ terminus putty!!! XD Whereas the Inferno (Ifrit) weapons and Vortex (Garuda) weapons didn't have that option!

It's Something like : ((max quality /2) /100) x ((itemlevel / combined itemlevel) x 100)

So in the ops case with his poisoning potion
quicksilver has an item level of 3
morbol vine has an item level of 30
formic acid has an itme level of 31.
there's 1 of each of the ingrediants so the total item level of the synth is 64

The maximum quality required for the recipe is 1853

So to work out how much each of those ingrediants contributes towards quality you divide maximum quality /2 and by 100. which in this case is 9.26

we then multiply that by the percentage of the recipes ilevel contributed by that ingredient

so 3 / 64 x 100 = 4.6875% so quicksilver contributes 4.67% of the starting quality

we then multiply the quality by the ingredient and we get 9.26 x 4.6875 and quickisilver now equates to 43 starting quality in this synth.

The eother way to do it. is

((maxquality /2) / (combined item level of ingrediants)) x item level of ingredient

in this case its then 926 / 64 = 14.4

then 14.4 x quicksilver (3) = 43.4

The math is accurate but pretty sure there's a much simpler way to express the equation I just can't remember it off hand.

I've never seen starting quality go higher than about 17%, with all HQ mats?

The Quicksilver was indeed like 42 or 43 in the recipe. Nice to see there's actual math, a spreadsheet can be my friend. Thanks!
