Healers beating tanks in queues?

Tanks (hilariously enough) have to wait a couple of mins or a min now for some instances and roulettes. I switch over to my healer and test just to see they get instant. A few times healer in need has been a thing. Now I know healers have ridiculously fast queues anyways and "healer in need" is nothing new, but I'm curious. There is a big post on Reddit basically saying the same thing with tanks actually having longer queues. This is also not a cry thread. Not having instant queues isn't the end of the world lol.

From what I remember the population of players that tank is roughly equal to the healer population (like a 1~4% difference). So I guess now that those tanks are running for clusters we're running into a shortage of the other non-DPS job. People will chase those clusters regardless though so what's in demand will always be filled. In leveling roulette at least.

It is kinda nice we get adevnturer in need sometimes as tank sometimes as healers rofl

Agree with the op. Doesn't matter what the Adventurer in Need is joining as a Tank I go into a queue. Joining as a Healer its instant pop. This is while leveling as well as at lvl 70.

Honestly, I think adventurer in need is bugged because of this. It seems very fixated on tank, even when the tank queue is two minutes longer than the healer queue (because there is no healer queue). The disparity has to be pretty wide before it flips over.

It's kind of annoying sometimes.

It's been like this since sb release though, nothing new here. SE just pissed off more healers into quitting their job than tanks.

Haven't really noticed much different in queue times (unless this is seen more in expert dungeons, I don't have a tank at that level yet), but usually I only see healer in need for leveling roulette very late at night :(

I think its working correctly but is on a 5 minute cycle before it seects a new role for adventurer in need. As per OP, there could be any number of reasons why healers are queueing faster. Healers could be leveling alts after leveling all three by now.

This one is pretty valid.

I always wonder about this. I always, always have insta-queues, which would mean there are tanks waiting in the queue for a healer, yet I almost never seen Healer in Need. I think, in the past week or two of instant queues, I've gotten only one Healer in Need reward. It's kind of annoying. I want those cracked clusters too. :'<

It's how the duty finder system works. It always checks tanks first, it doesn't give a damn if there's 0 healers or dps in the que. As long as what it considers a small amount of tanks, like 3 or less maybe, then it's gonna show tank. I believe it checks the roles in the order they show up when you hit "commence," so it checks tanks, then healers, then dps. I mention this in the reddit thread you were talking about.
