Guests within your home and hospitality

You can have NPCs bow and make your estate or apartment seem welcome, but that's it. I enjoy having guests but there is no way for me to properly let themselves be at home. I'd like to see some change to that via being able to have food out, let them interact with my home, and have more for them to do than just sit.

There should be an option to turn this off, since you dont want some rando guzzling all of your chilled red. But homes feel more like an art gallery and not an actual home.

I always thought it was strange to let random people into the house anyway. Perhaps they could implement a guest list system, or make "calling cards" that you can give out to whoever you wish or allow only those on your friends list to have access to your house or fellow FC members. I think the more hospitable options would be particularly useful for FCs who are recruiting. It'd be super cool to have an NPC that could tell visitors about your FC--almost like an "open house" sort of thing.

I'm still pretty new to the game and the whole housing thing. But that seems like something that'd be a good idea.

I like leaving my house open. I've been working hard on it (it's not done yet) and I want to show it off! I also like touring other houses/apartments.

I can't stand locked houses. It always makes me want to go snoop even more. I love wandering around the wards and poking through peoples houses. And I always love having guests show up at my house. Its fun to let others see and admire something you've worked so hard for.

Locked houses are the reason I wish instanced housing was a thing. They obviously want a home but not share it publicly, so why not just bump it off the map? My FC estate is not the same as how I would treat my personal home. A shame Ultros is so loaded that I can't get both. House parties are fun

Not necessarily. Houses are locked by default so it's possible players don't even realise it. Also some people keep it locked until they're finished decorating. I did that.

I definitely lock my house when I'm RPing in there and don't want anyone coming by for that scene. But usually, it's unlocked.

I keep my aparment and FC house locked at all times. My personal house I sometimes open up for a few days but that's it. The guess access message makes it pretty clear that if you leave your house unlocked people are free to enter and do as they please. Showing off your hard work and letting others see it is great but comes with the risk of unwanted visitors and activity.

Unless I'm doing major work on one of my properties I leave them open... people can't mess with your stuff and I worked hard on decorating... my fc house is always open for recruiting purposes... as is my office in the fc house.... my personal house is a cafe/club so it's unlocked when not being renovated... my apartment Is currently locked til I get it finished but unless I got company I keep it unlocked...

Can you explain what this has to do with the topic? Because the thread is about/for people who have theirs open and want to entertain guests.
