PvP Rewards Now Tied to Win/Loss: Will There Be Endemic Cheating?
The folks who demanded tiered rewards based off win/loss got their wish with 4.01, i.e. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...duty-incentive, "Victories and losses will now award different amounts of EXP." Now we will see whether fears of widespread cheating/collusion/exploiting combined with general projected drop-off in interest in Frontlines leads to a net collapse of the PvP queues.
I think it helps the tiered rewards are only for XP, which dampens the incentive to cheat. If tomes were scaled based off win/loss too, I think there would be a much greater chance the Pandora's box gets opened (sync queues, FC collusion, match-fixing, win/loss schedules, etc.).
