Fantasia unavailable for use after using the item?

I purchased a phial of fantasia, used the item, and stripped my character of gear, but when I go to the login screen, it says "You may alter your characters appearance" but then no option is given when i press Square on my character... I'm presented only with this.

I have tried:
Reconnecting
Different connection
Different computer
Different game install
Different ISP (Telstra rather than iiNet)
VPN

Nothing has helped so far, what's up?

I don't think you can use it until the servers can retrieve your character data (and you can see your character there), which I only know can be done by retrying or something.

Would switching worlds on the World selection list suffice? Or do I need to switch data centers over and over?

You probably need to wait until things are less busy.
The Fantasia should remain in effect until you actually use it though, so you should still be able to play your character.

Worry not, this is a sign of the heaviest congestion, until you actually do the changes it will be available until you go through and accept the changes. -- That said you can log back in and play and strip down later when things calm down...I am not suggesting or condoning such actions at this point as you will likely be even more frustrated 'playing' at this time. I find times like these a Netflix and Hulu+ sub come in handy =)

Thank you for the confirmation! I was actually pretty worried thinking my purchase would time out or something, this calms me down though. :D
