New server location made unplayable for south american players

Country of residence: Brasil

When does the problem occur : all the time

Frequency of problem : Constant

Game content in which the issues occur (e.g. dungeons, trials, certain areas): Everywhere

Server: Behemoth

So, u guys never considered south american players when u did this server change?
we already used to play with 150 ms or so, wich ok, its fine since were across the ocean, but now, its 300ping or so... quite unplayable raidwise. and i already bought stormblood previously, so will SE give refunds for every south american player who bought the expansion previously and did not knew the ping of the new server would be terrible for us? or u guys going to fix it? Are u aware of it?

might want to include a trace route, seems south Americas are being routed through Europe for some reason.

I don't know if EU data center also moved with NA.
I had no problem at all, I'm from Cerberus and Brazilian player :)

We are being routed to Europe indeed, but with VPN service like WTFast, we still get very high latency, in the 200s. Before the change, we could get 120-140. Combat does not feel smooth.

yes, i do agree with u! some of the brasilian players cant notice the difference, maybe cause theyre too casual, but its there. glad someone could agree with me

how do i myself can include a trace route?

open cmd.exe and type tracert with your server ip. Mine looks like this:

Im using an embratel connection, which is very close to the best I can get. You can have somewhat similar results (~200 to 210ms) using a VPN. However it is a lot worse than it was before... I was trying to get my friend to start playing again with me on Stormblood, but gave up on that idea since one of them is in London which is also going to suffer with bad latency as the rest of us. RIP

yeah, guludf, im at the same position. its playable, but feels terrible. everything seems like twice as slow. will be super horrible to play raids like that. i dont want to play "half" the game. i pay the sub to be able to experience whole thing.

I'm most likely canceling my subcription. I'm not paying for this poor service.
