What is better way for two-handed hammer/mace?

Many enemy can use hammer/mace in game already but their attack animation are similar to MRD/WAR Axe. When dev still reserve their weapon name (No any use notable mace name in this game) that mean they thing about use it future. What do you thing about future of two-handed hammer/mace?

1. Remove physical attack type and give it as MRD/WAR weapon same as they did with claw and katar for MNK. Current MRD/WAR attack animation can coordinate with hammer/mace with a little fix.
2. Make new job for use it.
3. Branch new job form MRD for use it. This is fit with MRD story line as advance skill MRD who move to train in another two-handed weapon.
4. No, I want it to be one-handed magic weapon!!
5. Other suggestion.

i hope to see in the future, a blunt damage tank that uses a hammer or mace or gunhammer like nero maybe something that synergize with MNK blunt down gcd :)

The attack typology of the game is beyond ridiculous; I can only hope such effects as blunt/slashing/piercing resistance down will be removed or modified by the time such a job joins the game, rather than Monk being used as a (poor) excuse to implement it.

That said, the gameplay of a two-handed mace tanks doesn't necessarily seem all that different from Warrior. Unless additional universal mechanics were added that it could take advantage of to take on a unique spin, it doesn't really seem worth the development time.
...If they were added, however, it could be a pretty amazing and distinct tank.

Good points. Yeah, the attack types and the certain dps that can put debuffs specific to these is what forces and what alienates certain jobs from being "meta", --- well one of the factors anyway. But if they don't remove this, it would be necessary that they introduce certain jobs that will synergize with those that currently do not. And we wont know for sure until they announce whatever combat system revamps they have in store for us in 4.x :)
