Housing transfers

So, did they say anything more about this, like I know you can transfer between areas..but it is limited to say medium to medium? Like you cannot go from a medium to a large?

Even though I think I will stay in the mist by the beach, you have a link for more information on this?

It was spoken about during the keynote, I don't believe there is any written information on this.

The impression I got was it was for FCs only ( due to workshops ). It is unlikely there will be transfers for personal homes since they do not have the same issues FCs do with the workshops.

@OP I also didn't hear or garner any clues about sizing restriction. I don't think there would be one honestly. Most people transfer to get a larger house, not downsize or stay the same...

Hopefully personal homes will also get "housing transfer", it's quite a risk to relinquish your home, and then end up homeless since both ends were taken meanwhile.

And hopefully players can "upgrade" from smaller to larger house, if available.

Personally would never take that risk myself.

Hopefully there will be a system added to this to allow SE to monitor and maybe even regulate housing. Maybe the reason they have been vague about the ToS and house sellers is because there was no way for them to control it. With a house moving system they will have eyes on all the data. Maybe these people with a fc and personal house on every toon on the server will be put in check. Hell I see maybe even a cap on how much you can sell for. A cap of 10-20% maybe will make things less profitable and maybe free up some plots.

And yeah sure you can do it the old fashion way and sell on reddit, but buyers with options and the chance to keep things like airships together if they do it "legally" will really help. Just like bootleggers in the 1920s.

I am in that exact boat myself. While I would love to upgrade to a medium, I'm not going to gamble losing my current small house entirely.

When they talked about moving they only mentioned FCs. What about if I want to move my personal house. Wasn't really clear if the moving feature was for FCs only or you can move personal houses too.

I hope they make it so you can switch personal houses though i doubt they would let you upgrade like some said. Part of switching is moving the items over, between like houses this would be easy since they have the same floor and yard layout, between a medium and say a small, much harder. But really I hope they let personal do it too cause I so want that large plot on the top of the hill, or maybe the one i saw by the water in the video.

Well, I'd be ready to put every item back to their own spots if I could upgrade to larger house.

Sure I'd lose few items since for some reason they are destroyed when picked up, but it'd be worth it. :p
