Hey all, I haven't been playing much lately at all because the lack of content gives me very little reason to log in. Once you have your Ifrit weapons of choice and some materia in your gear, there just isn't too much else to do. I just read the letter from Yoshi, and see that 1.20 will pretty much only contain the primal moogle battle as far as content goes. I imagine once people have it on farm a week or two after release, many of us may end up taking an extended break till 1.21 or (possibly) until v2.0 if they haven't already.
I understand that the system revamps (making the game actually playable) are far more important than playable content at this point, but it's still gonna be a huge bummer seeing the player-base dwindle because of the lack of new things to do. At this point, I look at the current game as more of a stepping stone for v2.0 (we're basically beta testers until next year), which will be when we'll actually want to play this game full-time.
So I wanted to know how others viewed this dearth of content, and if you all will still be logging in regularly for the next patch and beyond. Do you plan to stick around?
P.S., do not misread this as some kind of developer bashing thread. Lack of content is a reality we will have to deal with until the core game systems are fixed and up to par, so I'm sure all of us expected this time to come.
P.P.S., best of luck to Yoshi's team on continuing to make improvements to the game, hope the road to v2.0 continues along smoothly.

How can you say there is a lack of Content if you didnt even finished half of it? Just saying.
Of course there is way more Content coming, and in every Patch SE is adding more and more Stuff. I also miss some Stuff in this Game like Housing, Gardening, Largescale Battles, Alliance etc. But i never would say there is a lack of Content, its more like "wishfull thinking".
btw.. did you even touch the Stronghold Boss'? They are fun to fight and actually Content you are prolly looking for. -

idk, primal fights as the main source of content? what about traversing various dangerous terrain for cut scenes? or attacks on strong holds you can defend for various reasons (mats, base gear, exclusive useable items)?
oh wait, there kind of arent various terrains for another year and Yoshi already said there wont be any random attacks on anything in FFXIV
guess were stuck with Primal fights :/ -

I've killed Ifrit more times than I want to admit, I've levelled all the classes I want to level, I've maxed out my craft, and I've already double materia'd all my gear. I've done the strongholds, they're one day affairs for crappy gear that is strictly inferior to what I already have. There is no content left in the game for players like me.Quote:

You are below 300 Achievements ( Which are actually telling which Content you did and which you dont ), the current Max is 704. So you didnt touched half of the existing Content.Quote:

Nothing they do will be able to keep up with people who just burn through content and then ask whats next, learn to deal with it.
Most of their efforts are working on 2.0 regardless of what they say, I wouldn't even be surprised if they are holding back content for 2.0.
