Solo Dungeons to further MSQ.

Hi All. I'm very time poor and unreliable when it comes to grouping for dungeons, but I want to get through the Main Story Quest. If I get to level 60, can I go back and solo all of the story dungeons by myself? Or are they still likely to be too hard. Thanks!

the easyer ones you can on lv 60 but lv 50 dungeons may be to hard, dungeons over 50 you can't go unsynced i think.
oh and if you don't do MSQ lot of stuff is going to stay locked, this game is very story based so is no other way to unlock without the MSQ

The dungeons are designed so that, if all goes well, most can be completed in about twenty minutes. Combine that with asking someone in Novice Network if they want to queue with you as a tank and you should be able to legitimately finish a dungeon without investing too much time at once.

You'll seriously struggle to hit 60 without access to Heavensward zones which you can't reach until you've completed the WHOLE of the base ARR game!

Sadly SE did the usual with the expansion and massively increased the XP required for each level, while at the same time increasing the quest XP for the HW zones .. most MMOs do this to force players into the new content by making it very painful to carry on leveling in the previous content because the XP that content gives becomes a fraction of what the higher zones of the expansion give .. and in Stormblood it'll get even worse as there'll be fewer non-MSQ quests available.

Yes, we all agree that you're best off not intentionally trying to delay your main quest progress until your level exceeds requirements.

As for Stormblood, we actually know nothing of its quests at this point. Recently implemented Heavensward main quests actually show a very nice trend towards separating required primary progress that unlocks dungeons etc. from optional background story.

The proportion of MSQ quests vs. side-quests will be larger, meaning fewer non-MSQ quests as a percentage of the total available for secondary leveling, we DO know because Yoshi said so.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to have to find the time to group then. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But with 2 kids, I never know when I'm going to have to get up and leave! Luckily, there's lots of solo content to keep me going too!
