Error Code 20512 25008 20495 On A New PS4 In Game Install

I bought a new PS4 Slim yesterday and also have a copy of FF14 downloaded onto the system, but when I log in and attempt the huge, in game client download, it ALWAYS crashes and says it's unable to download the update files. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, and have done this download on another PS4 with no issues what so ever.

I too am having the exact same issue I have even gone on two different internet connections to update, but it keeps crashing!! I would be calling SE but I can login on my PC. I want to play on my PS4 because my PC is not as powerful. This is extremely annoying to buy a game for console and it just not work. Not only does it crash the update doesn't even keep what it's downloaded so far so I am starting over every single time!
I am very unhappy that i paid money for the PS4 copy and there is nothing about fixing this error..

Also did u both get it off the disk game like I did?

You seem to have 2 options:
-Debug your current client files
-Download the client again

If you want to debug your client, i would put the error codes in google with 'FF14', see what turns up. Some possible reddit posts may be extremely useful.

So it seems to be working now when it bugged out I just removed the disk and put it back in and it seems to be patching fine now

I've tried both of these options and neither of them worked. Googleing the error code doesn't net any results with helpful information either.

I have a fix for this that has been tested on PS4 and PC. Set your MTU to 1360. You will download all of your patches with no problem. Afterwards, just change back to your normal MTU of 1500.

Hello Try using different public dns

Example
My internet provider is Xfinity Comcast and ffxiv gave "unable to download 20512 25008 20495"

Then I changed to public dns goggle and also received "unable to download 20512 25008 20495"

I was able to fix error by using level3 public dns and it seem to be working fine for me

It took me a lot of looking around and messing with things I shouldn't have to, but I have resolved this ridiculous issue (at least for me since fixes do not seem to be universal). Here is what did it for me, hope it helps!

Opened all suggested ports on router, manually input MTU setting to 1360 (no idea what this is or does, change it back to 1500 after is what I was told), and set my DNS settings to google (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) initially and once that stopped working changed it to OpenDNS which can be found on this list, among others, https://www.lifewire.com/free-and-pu...ervers-2626062.
