Cleric Stance needs a buff

at least in 50+ game play. I hope I'm not the only one who is getting increasingly frustrated at how I can't travel without my chocobo out Just to deal damage to enemies.

My SCH literally has to throw everything he has at a basic lvl 57 enemy and it takes over twice the amount of time it would take a summoner

Now, this is new.

I love my CS, but no, it doesn't need to be more powerful. Even in regards to solo content, healers (especially SCH) are stupidly powerful, to the extent that people would probably complain if that content weren't so easy to begin with.

Cleric Stance is fine as it is. Summoner should deal much more damage than Scholar, because otherwise, why even bother playing a DPS job? Just focus on doing leveling dungeons, that's where Healers and Tanks get the most leveling exp.

O.o. Are you sure your SCH is equipped properly for his level. Also note that Heavensward open-world monsters are naturaly stronger than ARR ones, so it's normal to take longer when killing a Heavensward monster than an ARR monster (which incidentally makes soloing Heavensward Fates very tedious compared to soloing ARR FATEs).

Besides that, I can't talk about SCH since it was automatically leveled when I leveled my SMN, but my WHM has no problem killing stuff with cleric stance. It's relatively fast enough.

Well that is how it is supposed to be.
Cleric stance is a tool orginally dessigned for WHM so you could actually level as one from the start. SCH never actually needed it cause you could switch to smn but for some reason they still had the ability to cross class it.
It was never designed so healers could do the same damage as dps while still healing with a switch of a button. Otherwise why would not just bring 6 healers and 2 tanks?

Did you do job quests? SCH gets a potent Broil attack

SCH doesn't really have burst and relies more heavily on DoTs to damage. Our "burst" is

Bio ->energy drain-> aero-> energy drain- > broil until dead. If both dots fall off, you might want to consider the full rotation of bio ii>miasma>bio>etc instead.

Smn on the other hand has instant everything. Being able to kill at 50% the time and 1000% the survival rate is a pretty good deal.

Healers' first priority is keeping others going, not seeking to outparse actual DPS jobs. This obsession is but one reason for failed fights (see: A11, Prey mechanics on DPS, and failure of healers to offset the damage).

Play whm or AST. They do more immediate damage than scholar and may be the alternate solution than what you're seeking. Arcanist wasn't designed to do immediate damage. Hence the way dreadwyrms stance was designed to build up stacks before being able to do that kind of burst. Broil in itself is a blessing. It was exactly what the class needed for dps. Asking for anything more is a bit unbalancing and kind of unfair over the other healers. And since WHM and AST would also benefit this buff you ask for through cleric stance. This would open up a can of worms.

I think the only buff it needs is increase accuracy by 5%
But since accuracy is being reworked on. Don't think we need to change CS.
