Gillionairy Lottery

This is not the first time people do casinos/lotteries and there's always doubts about how allowed it is. To clear this up and avoid problems I decided to create this thread.


Rules of the Gillionaire Lottery: (Just as explained ingame)
 Pick a number between 0 and 999 
 No limit of tickets per player. 
 The same number can be bought multiple times. 
 If more than 1 ticket wins, the jackpot will be divided among winners.

 Winner is decided by /random at 2 AM Server Time 24/12/2016 
A re-roll will happen until at least one winner is chosen.

Initial pot: 10 Million
Price per Ticket: 5k
Every ticket adds 1k gil to the pot

The public list has timestamps, so the gil trade and the numbers picked can be verified by a GM (if it gets to that).

Q&A

How is the money paid?
The money is transferred and logged using the FC Chest of my Free Company. This avoids multiple trades or mog mails, the transfers are logged and easy to track.

How can I trust you?
I play FFXIV since 2.0 and I'm active. I'm a co-founder of NJA FC (with a mansion) and I have a lot of gil. I don't intent to run anywhere.

Will you continue making lotteries?
If everything goes well, yes.

Can someone buy all the numbers?
Yes, with 5M they can buy all the numbers. This assures that at least 1000 tickets will be sold eventually, and it becomes not profitable to do this after around 2000 tickets, as the jackpot is divided among all winners.

Were you just bored?
Yes

I'm doing this as openly as possible, not only to confirm that I'm being serious about this and not scamming people, but also so that everyone can check the rules and tickets without any "shady business".
