So I mostly play on PC these days, but I started on PS3 and (Having since ungraded to PS4,) I've been trying to collect the last few trophies I'm missing. For some reason I just can't get this one to trigger, though; I've played a round of Seal Rock and a round of 8v8 feast on PS4, but it never popped...
Does anyone know if earning this trophy requires you to do a specific type of PvP, and if so, which one? Or is it just not possible to earn anymore? Was it only set to be triggered by Wolves Den, and no longer obtainable since that mode has been removed from the game?

Wolves den still exists, it's just called "The Fold" now. Or at least I think so.

All of the trophies currently in existence for FFxiv were implemented at the same time when the game was crossed over to console platforms. As such, all of those trophies are only relevant to that content. That means that the "Slay Thy Neighbor" trophy is for Wolves Den (now "The Fold"), because it was the only PvP available at the time. Front Lines was not implemented until 2.3 (Defenders of Eorzea), so it doesn't count. At the time, the wording of the trophy was accurate; however, it really should have been adjusted after FL was introduced.
Regardless, All of the trophies relate to only the content that was available at the time (for example, you'll also notice that the only raiding trophies are for The Binding Coil of Bahamut, which includes only T1 through T5). None of the wordings or conditions of any of those trophies have been adjusted since they were implemented, nor have any new trophies been included for any of the new content, including expansion content ... which kind of sucks, since it gives additional incentives to do certain content. -

People used to do it to finish their weekly PvP challenges back before Feast came out. I'm not sure how much success you'll have with it these days, but it's worth a shot.Quote:

The leves achievement was not specific to area or leve type. It simply says, "1000 leves," of which there were already a great many to chose from even before HW was released. The PvP trophy, on the other hand, was implemented at a time when WD was literally the only PvP around. WD was also an instanced encounter, not an open world thing.
