Upper tiers of an action (such as Fire II and Fire III) will be abolished.....

Magic classes arent just for damage numbers, a very large part of being a magic class is the large array of spell effects that gain visual appeal as you level... IE. tiered magic.
im way bummed as ive been waiting for 1.20 to fiiiinally immerse myself into BLM.

i dont like melee classes yet ive (like many others) found CNJ to be less visually appealing than the melee classes since launch... now it got even uglier.

yes i know they said they are revamping spell effects in 1.21 HOWEVER, they did say (though its their own fault for being vague) that this new all in one spell effect is an actual system that they are implementing.
this may be a temporary "system" however i personally doubt it. it seems to be extremely reminiscent of some of the most generic magic classes in every other no name MMO.

SE, i ask that you reconsider this "system" one way or another and add spell effects that change upon their potency.

Yoshi P - you constantly worry about realism and what looks good in this game. well following your own logic it does not make any sense whatsoever to allow a low level BLM to cast the same spell effects as max level BLM. period.

BLM and SMN are my life in the FF because of its sheer uniqueness over every other magic user in every other game.
please save BLM. (visually)

BTW, this is literally my first real gripe about anything theyve done.

im gonna do a lame "CLICK IF YOU LIKE"

so click the like button if you want BLM to one way or another keep different spell effects for different potencies of the same magic type, such as a low level fire spell vurses WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE a seasoned BLM casting a high level fire spell.

i just read the abolishment of tiered actions is for all classes.

idk why theyre doing this, but its quite visually boring to me.

What possible reason do you have to assume that visual effects aren't going to change along with potency?

All you say to justify your position is that "it's a system they're implementing"...uhh?

How about we wait for part 2 before we start making assumptions?

because in every other final fantasy the spell effect is determined by its tier plus there is no mention that the effect itself will scale upon potency.
thats what im basing it on.

part two is nothing but the actions list themselves, its not going to have anything to do with the visual effects that they are taking away.

In this Final Fantasy tiers are not used. That makes everything that happened in past Final Fantasies with tiers an invalid comparison. They don't work the same way.

There is no mention of effect scaling with potency because as of 1.20 that won't be the case. Cosmetic changes are scheduled from 1.21 afterwards. They did not specify what that means, so it can just as easily mean that effects will scale than anything else.

Well BLM aint casting crap for another 3 months at least. Im sure they will not just have 1 animation for a spell even if it is the same spell @LV1 or LV50. I would wait for the full list to come b4 you jump on it to much. They are working hard and will do it right if we just let the PPL work.

BLM doesn't even exist in the game yet...what are you talking about saving visually?..and graphics are changing all the way to 2.0 release...and Jobs BLM hasn't even been revealed beyond that it exists and THM job is BLM and a few concept sketches of what they'll look like.
