Enemy Tendencies Idea
This idea is a way for the devs to toggle a bar that would help enemy intelligence differ in each encounter. The devs could still give particular enemy traits and should continue. These tendencies are random factors thrown into the mix so encounters are not completely static. When content is static, not changing, that is where the feeling of grind, or repetitiveness kicks in and has a player feel no element of surprise and question whether running content again is fun or work.

Please feel free to give me feedback or add more ideas for characteristics or desires for enemy AI!

Almost all enemies in the game have characteristics you listed except they have one and thats it.
A nice idea but I doubt we will see an overhaul to AI anytime soon.

Not a nit-pick, exactly, but it seems more about diversifying mobs than creating more intelligent AI. Just sayin'.
Actually, I do have one nit-pick. I want to still be able to attack flying enemies to some degree. Some concerns about Juggernaut and Colossal enemies. There. Direct critiques done.
Rest sounds good, but as an overall AI system, only part of the whole picture.
P.S. Still working on the alternate elemental system idea I was going to use as a counter-proposal on your skill-chain thread. Sorry it's taken so long, but its design opened up a massive can of worms in regards to BLM, WHM, NIN, and MNK gameplay, in descending order of mayhem. I like where the changes are going, a lot, but I want to be sure that there are minimal oversights before I post anything on the system and its surrounding changes.

The desire system is pure AI. The characteristics are more diversity, however the option is there for enemies to switch between those characteristics during a battle so the mechanics are less static hence AI like, changing strategy based on player input.
Looking forward to the system you are working on! :)
