Feast kill order questions

So recently I have started playing Feast. At this point I still have sub 10 games under my belt so sorry if I\\'m missing something.
Each game has thus far had a different kill order. I\\'m not sure if there is a reason for who to focus first? Well aside from the healer of course.
I play as Bard in the Feast and seem to get focused out of the gate oftenish. I\\'m not quite sure the logic in focusing anyone aside from the healer out of the game, maybe make healer blow CDS b4 they get zeroed?
Any ideas/info would be helpful in my attempt to increase my Feast PvP skills...?

There is a defensive kit which can influence who gets targeted. Once you see which player on the opposite team has a defense buff, it's probably not the best idea to focus them since they will be more difficult to take down.
Similarly with the offensive kit, you might want to get rid of the player who has the attack buff first because they are the biggest threat. So the distribution of buffs can influence attack order rather than there being a set job priority.

In the original Wolves Den, there was almost no variance in the kill order because the team was purely dependent on the healer. No healer = game over. That's not the case anymore, because matches are won by points and players can re-spawn. Now, there is no fixed kill order. There is only priority targets.

Threat, starting buffs, the number of medals a target has (as well as how high their heavy medal debuff is), and available party support can all play a role in who has the biggest bulls-eye on their ass. For example, a tank is normally dead last on the roster, but if they accidentally pick up too many medals they become priority target number one. On the other hand, healers are usually a priority target, but sometimes they're easier to suppress than kill. A dead dps player means less overall threat to both your party and the boxes. A dead healer usually means the enemy will retreat, allowing you time to either chase and push them out of centre or take a breather and allow your CDs/buffs to reset. etc.

Nine times out of ten, most people pick priority targets out of convenience (if it's squishy, I can kill it), but there are a lot of deciding factors that contribute to which target is the 'best' target to kill at any given time.

Also focus blm no matter if he has defensive debuff or not (this applies to good mch/brds too) since those classes can pressure and oneshot ppl out of nowhere if you let them.

This makes a lot of sense, thank you for the info.
I wonder, what do you mean by "heavy medal debuff?"
Also to make my question slightly more general. What intervals do the boxes respawn? As for the Adrenaline box in the middle, does that simply act as Haste for a short time? If someone on the other team kills it can any team pick it up?

'Heavy Medal' refers to the debuff you accumulate as you collect the medals dropped by an enemy player. It increases your vulnerability to damage. The more stacks you have, the quicker you die when attacked. The vulnerability goes from 12% at one stack all the way up to 120% at 10 stacks, which is the cap. So, it's quite substantial. As for box timers, quite frankly, I never paid attention to the exact time in the heat of the match, since I'm usually busy on suppression duty (#PallyLife). The adrenaline box always pops up first, though; so, you should be keeping your eyes open after each one.

It's hard to put into words what your "actual specific" role is because there's just so much you have to do. But I would say as a DPS, your job is to basically apply pressure to the healer. Somebody dies in feast when the healer cannot keep up with the damage being done or if LOS/Sleep/Stun etc is done properly. Occasionally you'll meet a healer who just drops dead and it's an easy win for you but if you're against someone who knows what they're doing, you have to know when exactly to burst to secure a kill.

As long as you know your rotation, how to burst and how much burst is needed in that moment, you'll do fine.

Also the problem with just blowing everything on the healer at the start is that they can attune (nullify all damage for 10 seconds) and they have all their CD's to top themselves and their team up. While 3 of your players is trying to kill the healer - their DPS could be on yours. At that point its about which DPS/Healer is better. WHM can just drop prism and GG you won't kill them for 30 seconds without some co-ordination.

It's always about circumstance. There's no 100% foolproof way to win. Improvisation is important but not for the sake of it. It should be calculated.

Also learn how to kite and stay in LOS of your healer. Use bind appropiately.
