I honestly took it to be a pokeball joke, lol. I know precious little about Yo-kai Watch though and it doesn't explain the "ancient stone vessel" aka "allagan treasure chest."

And the Allagan Drone and Coffer were supposed to reference Gachapon machines (the ball part being what the Pokeballs were base off of). But still between the fact that the Elementals asked for allagan technology to contain a foreign supernatural being and how the Pomanders look in Palace of the Dead, I'm more inclined to think that the Twelveswood might be more influenced by Allag than we thought.Quote:

Somewhere in the Shroud in 1.0, I believe in some inaccessible ruins, that was never explained... I think it was an elevator? Didn't look particularly Allagan from what I recall, but this was 1.0... Allag wasn't much of a thing back then... Chances are it was meant to be Garlean in origin, given their activity in Toto-Rak, and chances are it's just been swept under the rug now anyway... Still, could be the people of Gelmorra had some Allagan technology kicking around, which they promptly discarded when Stockholm Syndrome kicked in and they got all chummy chummy with the Elementals... I mean, their civilization went underground, that is where one expects to find Allagan artifacts...Quote:

Either way, it's a clear reference/homage to Yo-Kai Watch then. I wouldn't think too hard on it. Let's not forget all the ADS we killed as Spriggans for Easter.

Yes, do forget about those. This event, like most seasonal events, is probably about as canon as you make it (and you shouldn't make it very canon at all). -
