Swap casting AOE please!

Maybe this doesn't deserve it's own thread, but I feel it needs thought anyways


With Con = Whm and Thm = Blm

Please swap AOE styles

Cons circular AOE is more fitting of on target casting.

Thms cone AOE is easier cover Allies for buffs since it's between you and your selected target.

While I prefer the current setup, that isn't to say that WHM and BLM will follow the same casting methods of their classes.

As I tend to say, don't worry until there's something to worry about.

I agree that THM AoE is better for buffing and healing.

I'm still hoping they will implement party wide buffs, healing is not an issue for me as I very rarely use Curaga anyway.

Well I am hoping they change the system all together making it impossible to toggle aoe on and off. I would prefer a more ff xii way of doing it, with cure being single target, cura multiple and so on.

if you target someone from your pt, the circlet will be around that person so ppl who stay near that person will get buff too, but with cone that person need to be behind or you target yourself and face at the direction you need to buff. Personally I prefer aoe more than cone

I understand how it works thats why I think it'd be more beneficial if WHM AOE was cone, you will target all member between you and your target. A god send for buffs.

Currently on my Con castign Prot/Shell/SS if that 1 person who is targeted moves multiple members of the party go unbuffed. A workaroudn is to target yourself and run in but then if ANY one aroudn you moves they go unbuffed.

With a cone AOE if the targeted member moves the chances of someone goign unbuffed is much less because of the nature of the cone. It extends to a fair distance and the angle is wide.

As opposed to a focused circle which would be great for nuking!

No. At best, improve the circle range when on WHM mode. THM Conal AoE is just way too overpowered for healing.

Curaga isn't meant to heal the entire party no matter where you are standing.

I was thinking this a few days ago, why is it we have Cure 1, 2 and 3, shouldn't we just get Cure and the spells ranks/improves as our stats get stronger and like you say Cura or Curaga could be just the AoE version.

Same could be said for Fire, Thunder, Water etc, it would probably make gear and stats more meaningful aswell.

I would be in favour or removing all tiered spells and making them work off stats, can't see them doing this though, it would definately help free up some action bar space aswell.

Cone is so horrible and useless, I don't want it. And I hate THM anyway, so I don't care of THM has cone AoE.

About AoE toggle gone alltogether:
That's stupid.
We already have it for Heal, but if we get multiple spells for our attack spells too, I'll have like..300 spells.
