CRAZY QUEUE TIMES!

Ok so im on Midgardsormr ( Immortal Flames ) and i swear no matter what type of PvP i queue up for its an hour minimum.. i want to get into PvP but cant!!!

So my question is, is there a better server & Grand Company out there, that the queue times are so bloody terrible!!!:mad::mad:

It's pretty much known on Aether that:

Immortal Flames have (overall) the highest win rate, but terrible queue times.

Adders have (overall) the lowest win rate, but fast (compartively) queue times.

I can't really speak for Maelstrom. I'm sure the queues are probably faster than Flames, though.

When I was mael granted it was months ago but queues were about the same when I switched to flames just mael always settled for 2nd and gave up the moment they saw a premade. Which is why I switched . Can't win if you don't try. If you're gonna give up that easily I'd rather you just not queue .

After all the feedback the received about the queue times totally killed by GC restriction,
I REALLY hope they will fix it and if they will, I will really be happy because doing my favourite content I would be able to progress with my relic too, making a grinding fun for once D:
(and make the people have fun should be the first focus for a game XD)

They have already acknowledged that they know the player base wants the grand company restriction gone and yet still pump out more frontline modes with it intact. This leads me to believe they either don't want to remove it or can't because of some technical aspect we aren't aware of.

Well the issue with que time only mainly occurs on NA servers. JP server ques are low across the board across all GC because PVP is very very active in Japan.
NA PVP community is much smaller and not as active which leads to this reoccurring issue. SE knows this but the question they are contemplating is whether to implement resources towards a new system towards the smaller NA PVP community and if its worth the resources (because PVP is pretty much perfectly fine in JP)

Also if you want fast que times Mael is currently fastest on Aether (Magna Victoria got 217+ games last week holy shit)

rofl i come back to the game, for what almost a year now, and the same topic is being brought up. still no queue pops eh?

What is different about NA players for PvP? PvE activities seem to be accepted and populated basically-equally between the two regions, but PvP apparently has a huge activity difference.

PvP games in general are popular in NA, and even PvP content in other NA-based worlds / MMOs that I've participated in has been a lot more active and consistent than FFXIV. Is there something specific about FFXIV's implementation of PvP that turns off a majority of NA players?

NA is more lazy and requires more reward than getting good and having fun. In my experience across other games pvp is just not something a lot of NA players like to do unless the reward is good just for participation. True or not idk bur that's always been my experience.

If that perspective is correct, then NA has a choice between:

• Long dead queues, but with players that mostly want to be there and improve
• Short queues, but full of bribed players that just want their payoff (like MSQ Roulette)

I'm not sure which option is worse.


Given that scenario, though, would removing GC restrictions actually fix anything? It seems to be a popular proposal, but are we sure which of these two problems are actually holding up queues?

1. The queue is actually 5/10/12 (just waiting for those three more Adders). That's 27 total, so if the GCs weren't locked, instead we'd have 8/8/8 right now (match pop) and 1/1/1 waiting for the next pop.
2. The queue is actually 4/3/6. If we unlocked GCs, we'd still have 13 / 24 players and no pop (5/4/4), because interest for PvP is so low in NA region.

Maybe smaller 4v4v4 versions of Frontlines maps would be more realistic for NA region. Like if the queue can't field 24v24v24, it tries to field 8v8v8. And if it can't do that, it drops down to a Light Party version.

This would allow JP region's adequate status-quo to go undisturbed, while opening up more frequent pops for NA queues. (Unless NA PvP can't even field 12 players at once, which would be grim)
