Animation lock used as a factor in gameplay
Hi just been fighting ifrit and just thought id voice my oppinion on one of the gameplay dynamics
It seems critical to *not* be in "animation lock" when ifrit uses a few of his abilities, most notably eruption and hellfire
i dont agree with the fact that this kind of dynamic can effect this kind of thing, the timing are tight enough that if i press for example sentinal in time it should be good enough... regardless of whether i am in animation lock and my lancer is busy jumping back and forth for 5 seconds after a weapon skill.
i know some of you are going to say "be carefull when you use actions"
what i am saying is that this kind of dynamic is wrong in *principle*
on a related note i have found that i have to keep pressing the same button untill an action comes out since they got rid of action queing
it feels like im fighting with my keybaord is the way i would describe the gameplay in this game.
i feel if they made some actions like self buffs- sentinal, raging strike etc, etc procable at ANY time the gameplay would be alot more enjoyable.
make it so when i press something it should be good enough for the game that i pressed it instead of stupid dynamics like animation lock being a factor..
also sometimes i get hit with eruption even when on my screen i am not in range... i have <run away> and i still got hit. i can appreciate this is a problem with latency or the workings of the server but maybe se should try to design things around this instead of playing into it if they know its a problem.
