2 Hour Abilities

Would it be a great idea to have every class be able to summon if they defeat a primal fight and nuke aoe for huge significant damage, maybe like "9999" or less. Then have the cooldown for that ability to be around 2 hours. To me this is the main reason I liked the Final Fantasy series and it was because I was able to summon a kick ass monster to deal nuke-like damage.

With a cooldown that short, every major encounter needs to be balanced with the fact in mind that players have access to this sort of ability.

So, if you fail, you need to wait for 2 hours to retry.

I totally agree with you and hope this idea doesn't resort to make people wait 2 hours just to optimize their output when fighting bosses. What if it could be done in term of great buffs like huge amount of haste or accuracy that lasts for 30 seconds and a 30 minute cool down by having a summon roar around.

I hope our ideas are useful though. Anyway, below are 10 min cool down buffs that can be used once per fight or once if you haven't stopped chains.(if used in a chain then wait till the chain is over or wait 30 minutes from last used)

Garuda = High Evasion Buff
Ifrit = High Attack power buff
Shiva = High Magic Attack buff
Odin = High Armor like a stoneskin that lasts for 20 seconds
Leviathan = High Haste buff

It would be indeed much easier to work with shorter cooldown abilities, or much much longer cooldown (plus other requirements).

10mins would be pretty good, once per encounter and not too long of a cooldown to wait for if you end up failing.

i adored the 2 hr abilities in 11, miss them so so much :( agree op

addition of true tp based ws that are earned from a quest would be highly desirable as well. my monk rocked so well with asuran fists , a pug needs something that potent in this game, in fact all the jobs are missing something like that. and having 100 fists was absolutly heavenly.

gaining tp was alot easier in 11 though and i do think tp gain at present is still way too slow. sit still way too much while in any fight, even with 3 moves to build tp. auto attacks are too widely spaced as well. just doesnt feel smooth or consistant yet ,but i have faith they will tweak it eventually :D

I agree to add it in as long as it not Uber Powerful. 2 Hours for 9999 is just too ridiculous, imagine doing Ifrit and a full party of 8 just spam 2 hours for 9999 damage and Bam! He is dead! It would really unbalance the game.
