Idea for Paladin
Maybe this is thinking ahead to 4.0. I don't necessarily advocate ability bloat but I would like 2-3 more abilities per class (5 might be too much per expansion now).
But with current issues paladin is facing, what if the solution is making them more defensive/supportive, than increasing their DPS?
How would the community feel if paladin had a GCD ability that didn't interrupt combos and decreased damage taken by 10% for 10 seconds? As well as having a GCD ability that DOES interrupt combos and decreases damage taken by 20% for 6 seconds? These abilities stack with shield oath and with each other, as well as rampart/sentinel.
This basically allows paladin to turtle up before tank busters. Applications include stoneskinning themselves during a jump, then using these abilities as they run to the boss and taking little damage for a while before using cooldowns.
The best part is that this means active mitigation is more of a thing (inner beast and dark arts being pretty cool, it's sad paladin doesn't have active mitigation).

Interesting ideas, the problem is though, all endgame content focuses on DPS checks, which is where PLD suffers due to their lower damage potential in comparison to Drk and War, that's what's making them less valuable to core end-game groups, not a lack of utility

Now if PLDs where given a ability to buff the PT vs themself to shore up any dps faults they have I think more ppl would use it in endgame

PLD has enough of its own mitigation. I'd like so see the following changes
1) Shield oath applies 100% fast cast and no combo interrupt for spells.
2) Bulwark blocks restore TP (probably done through a trait) which would make it similar to 1.2's Outmaneuver. Perhaps the smaller the shield size, the more TP restored. This would make kite the balanced (as is), towers the high mitigation (as is. Sheltron OP) and bucklers the offensive shield due to a lack of TP problems.
3) An ability which enables a duration for both Sword Oath and Shield Oath to be active. Something like this would be very nice to have for an opener.
........
4) MAYBE carry over Fealty from XI PLD's toolkit. The ability to say RIP Death Sentence's infirmity effect or ignore one of Living Liquid's blunt stacks would be really sweet.
