NIN opener help (with maths if possible)

So, I've been playing my NIN alot recently and I've been sat at the dummy trying to work out the best opener between Suiton on pull and DE>Suiton.

Suiton on pull seems slightly better to me, but I was wondering if anyone here could do (or link me to) some maths to give me a definitive answer so that I can pick an opener to stick with and work on 'gitting gud' as they say.

(also, what numbers should I be aiming for at 208/209 with thordan daggers/relic respectively? (VA chest))

Suiton, DE and buffs, 1->TA right before the suiton buff wears off. SF, Mutilate, and a duality AE combo while weaving in all your cooldowns including kassatsu raiton. After TA wears off just follow the expiring buffs/debuffs. (you'll need to DE again right after, then another SF, then refresh your AC, etc.)

Not bad, do kassatsu and IR not clip? I generally consolidate mug and DWD since those seem to be usable together within a single GCD, and give kassatsu its own slot.

since the server move my ping has been fairly consistently sat at around 20-30ms, so I can fairly easily double weave. I found Kas>IR to be better than IR>Kas, but yea, it does fit into the GCD timer. I am a fairly prolific button masher, which probably helps :P

I'm currently hitting 1450-1460 in 3:30 parses, which seems ok to me.

I hope some one can help me I'm lvl 30 rogue and 15 pug but I don't see quest for nin I have completed slyph management

This is my rotation, I don't like using Suiton to pull because you get Suiton and Kassatsu buffs right after, meaning that you have mudras and TA ready to use but you have to wait to use them, which you'll never know, between mechanics might be tricky to maintain the rotation on the target. Some people are against 2 oGCD in between the combos, but I don't have problems or delays with it. I do 1900 on opening and maintain DPS on 1300, ilvl 202.

How the heck are you guys getting more than 1200 dps? I've been main since ROG released. I find myself at Number 2 or 3 on the Hate list, but people who can parse clocked me within the 1200 range. HOW? HOW? HOW?

First thing: don't use the emnity list to judge how well you are doing, it is does not work like that.

Some things I have learnt over the last few weeks of practice:

- Raiton over Fuma unless you have truly awful latency issues.
- Perfecting your opener is key to pulling high numbers. Practice it until you are doing it by muscle memory alone.
- It is usually always preferable to save duality for your next AE, rather than use it on AC, unless your next 2 non-DE combos will be AC.
- Make sure your dots have 100% uptime whenever possible, they are a surprisingly large chunk of your dps.
- Make sure you are not missing auto-attacks when moving from rear to flank and visa-versa.

Being doing alot of dummy runs over the last few days and Suiton on pull seems to come out ahead almost every time, and the buffs line up better, but even with Suiton after your first DE, you should be at 1350+ with enough practice. (This is at i205+ btw). My opening burst is around 2200-2300, and levels out to 1400-1450 depending on dot clips and mistakes.
