So i went out and Solod Phia for Penance and noticed that after my first cast of Siphon MP, I could no longer get mp back from him. The log would tell me "Phia loses 354 MP" then the next line would say "You absorb Zero MP". Also it seems to work the same way with Stygian spikes. Once they wore off and i had to recast them, I would get hit, but the spikes would do zero damage to the mob, and i wouldnt recover any MP.
Is there like a limit to how much MP you can absorb from the single mob??? or are these spells just glitched. I can still get MP back using Damnation (even tho its like 4 cuz damnation sucks). Anyone else notice this?

it's always been like that. Mobs have a set amount of MP, which don't regenerate, so after you drain them all you drain 0 mp.
Damnation work different, since convert damage to mp instead of drain it -

Also, if that was the case my Stygian Spikes should still be doing damage even tho im not getting MP back from them. The spikes were doing 0 damage

SOunds like a bug. You might want to post this in in-game bug report forum and see if any of the GMs knows whether it's a known issue being addressed or not. Either way, they would submit it for investigation by the devs or whoever in charge.

Yeah it's probably a log bug. I had a funny one last night. All my spells were saying "Your cure 3/whatever has no effect on X" when they were clearly healing the guy.

It's like that with heal too now. With 1.18 I cured only missing HP, now I cure 900, I think it's only for enmity.

stygian spikes do damage, if u turn damage numbers on u can see them, but you are right, with stoneskin on they dont do damage and therefor give u no mp
