Suggestion: Debuff Order

I would like to suggest that when we are targeting and/or focus-targeting an enemy, our DoTs and Debuffs are the first to be shown. I can't tell you the number of times I couldn't see my DoTs on a boss during a FATE, 24-man raid, or high-level as a BRD or SCH/SMN.

I think the order should be:
Enemy Buffs and Fight Mechanics > Our Debuffs > Our DoTs > Other's Debuffs > Other's DoTs

I'm pretty sure that's how it works already. Your DoTs and de-buffs even have a green coloured font, making them even easier to see.
I've never had any trouble seeing mine during hunts, or otherwise.

If you apply yours when the amount of DoTs and debuffs visible is capped already, yours won't show up. At least that's how it is in the 24-mans.

Your debuffs on the enemy are shown to the left and the numbers green. I have noticed it bugs out sometimes and your debuffs disappear. (PC User)

They may show some but multiple times I've been Barding only to have one of my dots show up (but Iron Jaws shows they're both up). Have also experienced this on SCH.

Go into the settings and turn off other peoples dots.

The only drawback for me is when I play MNK I have to focus target to see if the other MNK in the party is using Dragon Kick or not.

That's a pretty huge drawback, honestly. Worse, this doesn't always solve the issues in 24-mans. Even with only 4 debuffs listed on the boss, I can still be missing either Venomous or Windbite, while IJ's refreshing both.

We should be able to limit exactly what we want to show up, from status effects, to relevant vulnerabilties (SE/DE when slashing, DK when blunt, DB when piercing), to all debuffs, etc, and to choose where we want our debuffs and relevant vulnerabilities to show up relative to each other. There's just no reason not to have those QoL issues that 3rd party addons fix almost as soon as their in-game use is permitted.

If that's the case, I'm bugging in almost any fight that has too many people using DoTs and debuffs on a single target and am either like Nicolepwned and seeing only one (which I can word with) OR not seeing any at all (which is bad for skills like Iron Jaw or Sidewinder).

The real should allow us to turn off the visablilty of only DoTs, seeing as how important Debuffs can be.

Can I see meaningful debuffs they aren't mine? Like when I'm on MNk partnered with another mnk I like to see when they dragon kick so I can skip mine and do another bootshine.

There's a cap of ~60 debuffs on one mob anymore than that wont apply, half of those are visible (30). If your debuff is the 31st to apply it will go on but show no timer. If you reapply before the timer runs out, regardless of how many debuffs remain on the enemy, it will refresh the timer on the debuff in the hidden set so it will have full time again but not be visible. The only way for it to become visible again is to let it fall off completely and reapply it when the mob has <30 debuffs. This happens even if you have the option to only show debuffs you inflict turned on i believe, meaning you'd only see 2 dots on the mob then apply a 3rd which would apply and still only see the timers for 2 of them.
