Can we have the Mac Client back? My wife needs it and our machines are fine

Hi guys -

I've been waiting patiently for months now with as far as I know no word whatsoever on the status of the Mac client.

What I do know is this - I bought my copy of the Mac client in advance and basically works perfectly and looks beautiful on my machine and has for months. It also works on both of my kids Macs, and we all play as a family.

My wife has the PS4 client, and she wants to be able to log in on our Macs and play the game. Unfortunately although we know for sure that we have three Macs everything works on just fine, she can't purchase the Mac version.

Take our 60 bucks, please? We don't even need to download a new client, we literally just need her to be licensed to use the game on OSX.

Just make people check a box saying they know that there are performance issues and they want to buy it anyway. This is preventing me from being able to use my PS4 for anything else.

Just wondering;

You said you have bought the Mac client already. Did you already download the .dmg /installation for the Mac?

If so, try to see if you still have it. If you do, just move it over to your wife's iMac and you're good. (think this still works.)

It doesn't matter if you have the install file to put the data on another machine unless the account has a Mac key for the game it won't matter cause key what actually allows you to play. (Unless they all playing on one account)

Seems the problems Square is having is getting the software interface to work right, it's not really hardware as nowadays Apple computers really are 'just computers' instead of the special builds they used to be years ago. Alot of people trying to get the Apple client to work kept having problems, enough that Square pretty much had to take it back to the drawing board if they want to get to the bottom of it. They will re-release it, just give them time to figure out what went wrong.

What annoyed me was that Amazon issued refunds to everyone without asking and SE removed access from all accounts. I was fine with the performance and didn't ask for a refund. With the performance improvements in the last patches I would have been happy, but I can't even go anywhere to buy it until they release it again.

You can always use Bootcamp, it work better on a PC anyway. The Mac Client seam like they rush it out as fast as possible. It seriously need some major adjustment.

I have zero interest in using bootcamp.

And as Lexia said, the issue is the license key. That's literally all I need for my wife to not be pinned to the PS4, she wants to play on my computer.

We get it Jeremy, but again people have been having problems with the Apple version. 11 pages worth of posts about it, at that. They are trying to fix it, give them time. It will be re-released.
