Skills and abilities without DPS. Charm/Slow/Amnesia/Immobilize
I'm hoping at some point players will have access to skills that add a more tactical approach to combat. Fights that include the use of sleep, immobilization, slowing movement, charm/confusion or amnesia of enemy skills. As a healer I'd rather have spells that shifted enmity, shielded specific elements and altered enemy behaviors than do direct damage . It would be nice to have a discussion with your party before a boss about tactics based on the group composition. Its basically "This thing hits you, you hit it and I'll heal". I'd rather see "We have a monk so on the 1st add kite it to the outside and "Leg Break" (immobilize) then run back. A bard so we can charm the 2nd add to attack the 3rd. White Mage, at 60% health the boss swaps to ice attacks so please have me protected during that phase and he'll continue to cycle elements every 10% drop in health. Sadly we don't have someone who can amnesia the boss after he buffs so we'll have to be quick on our feet."
