SCH glitch or am I misunderstanding?

So an FC member today told me he hit 11k on an adlo, so I wanted to see if I could copy the result, but add in a couple buffs.

Eos, Fey Illumination, Dissipation, Emergency Tactics, Adloquium.

You cast Adloquium.
 Critical! You recover 4652 HP.
 Critical! You recover 9304 HP.

You cast Adloquium.
 Critical! You recover 4826 HP.
 Critical! You recover 9652 HP.

Same effect twice in a row.

Maybe my logic is just bad.

I don't understand why the first Adlo is a crit, but the second from the Emergency Tactics is doubled that. Emergency Tactics literally turns the shield from Galvanize into a second heal.

Adlo crits 4826, the resulting galvanize would then be 4826.
Why does it double to 9652?
It seems like it is making a crit heal from a shield nul from a crit heal.. So its the crit of a crit.

I'm so lost.

When you use Emergency Tactics you don't cast a shield, instead you heal for the amount of shield plus the normal Adloquium heal, thus being twice of a normal Adlo. If it crits then it doubles the crit.

Does that make sense? I may be reading your question incorrectly.

Aldo galvanize doubles if you get a crit. So a crit aldo for 4000 would grant an 8000 shield. Idk how emergency tactics works exactly so i can't really elaborate further. But;

I'm guessing emergency tactics take the shield that would be and makes it into straight HP, if that's the case then everything is correct. You pretty much healed 14k. No glitch.

No, that's what I already know.
The first heal is the normal Adlo, but the second heal is what would be the Galvanize.
That should be equal to the original Adlo, but it's twice of it instead.
It is literally doubling a crit. It's even better than the crit of a crit because heal crits are only +50%, not +100% like the used to be.

But it doesn't even work that way. A 4k adlo adds a 4k galvanize for 8k in total healing, not an 8k shield.

That's exactly correct. You need to add the figures together to get your total heal under Emergency Tactics. It's effectively 2x base heal for normal Adlo or 3x base heal for crit Adlo.

A 4k crit Adlo will heal for 4k and shield for 8k on top. A normal Adlo only shields for the amount healed (both 4k). Emergency Tactics adds both the heal & shield value together and applies only as a heal without shield.

Unless they changed it in HW (i havent sch'ed anything much in hw), you are incorrect. Shield is doubled.

So at i190, a scholar can still hit a 14k heal, but these forums lately are filled with people crying for scholar buffs. /confused

I have never seen a SCH use emergency tactics in a fight. They want buffs because lustrate was nerfed (it has a potency now, used to be a flat 25% target HP heal).

Besides, how often can you emergency tactics anyway? Outside of ET, SCH burst healing ability is limited fairly limited, solely to lustrate i believe, which can be used 3 times a minute and some would rather energy drain for mp.
