FF Crossed Over With What!?

Last night, I was with my friends and we regularly watch pay-per-view wrestling every month. Following a tag team match, the manager of the winning team who actually had a trombone with him, celebrated the win by playing a riff of the Final Fantasy victory fanfare.

I don't know if this was intentional, if he knew what he was playing, or if was strictly coincidental but to hear him play the victory fanfare was hilarious. We couldn't stop laughing!

Does anyone else have a story where an element of Final Fantasy had an unexpected crossover?

Intentional. He's been doing it for weeks. He plays FF14 and is a big gamer. He has a youtube channel. He also has made a lot of mortal kombat and streetfighter references lately.

Awesome as well, I never knew he was a gamer or plays this game.

It's hard to believe, but even wrestlers enjoy video games.

Actually, that's kind of a reference in a reference. The supervising director/storyboarder for that show, Ian Jones-Quartey, made a webcomic a long time ago called RPG World, whose main character Hero looks almost exactly like that, and Hero's design is obviously a parody of Cloud.

I know Kofi Kingston has a sword collection that includes a Batleth, the Master Sword and the Buster Sword.

This is hard for me to believe. He just doesn't seem like the guy who does. xD But this is cool to know.

Yeah, Xavier Wood is a long time gamer. He even did an interview with YoshiP on his YT channel before HW was released.

He's been doing the FF fanfare for a while, always bring a smile to my face.
