DPS advice please
So my Main is White mage and Paladin is what I use to spam expert roulettes and such.
I wanted to try my hand at DPS and Smn was my closest so I got it to 60 and geared it in 170, read guides asked friends hit the dummy a bit and got 1.1k DPS and started trying Expert roulettes.
Omg this was hell, I am soo bad at Smn examples of my derp include but are not limited to, Dots > Bane > Painflare > Bane (second bane before recasting dots, pointless) Fighting without pet, constantly forgetting to drop Shadowflare list goes on.
I just get overwhelmed by trying to keep so many things going at once controlling myself and the pet and DoTs and trying to line up every single one of my buffs with Deathflare it's too much :(

1) What other DPS could you recommend me, I would like to play Mnk but Idk if that's even harder, what about Ninja?
I was fine back in ARR but they really added a lot of juggling to classes in Heavensward and I'm struggling :(

Probably the easiest dps to pick up is brd or mch. They really do not have set rotation and do not have to juggle any stacks or cds like the other classes. Ninja doesn't have any either except using Armor Crush to extend Huton and Suiton to use Trick Attack
Typically, I see healer mains pick up the support dps's faster because they are already use to supporting the party

i just dps as sch, and barly go off cleric stance in most dungens, let the fairy heal xD, a lot of times i beat drg and mnk in aoe dmg, if there is enuf mobs to go around for my bane, try sch its really fun to jungle between heal and dps

Bard is pretty chill :) Try that out! And hang in there!

Best DPS imo is the WAR atm. High hp and defense with great burst damage and self heals. /sarcasm

Dragoon is pretty easy if you ask me. So far however that's all I leveled to 60. We have lots of keybinds however.

SMN is already a very easy DPS class. All DPS classes take a while to get used to. Hitting dummy will do very little to help you better at a class, as many interruptions will occur during a fight that will mess with your rotation. Dummy only teaches you opener and priority.
My suggestion? Stick with summoner and do more dungeon with the class, the more you fight the better you get.

I say stick with SMN. DPS has lots of stuff to press so feeling overwhelmed in the beginning is normal. You just need more practice.
I suggest keeping your pet on sic for now, and leave trying to line up your buffs for later.
Just learn the flow of the basic rotation and feel of the job first.

If you like the class stick with it ^^
DPSing isnt hard, it just needs practice, same as healing and tanking - youll be fine ^^

Personally I feel SMN's flow is really odd to get a hang of. Some people love it, some people hate it.
Ninja is pretty straight-forward and remain that way once they get to 60.
Blm is fun in my opinion, and it might jive more with you since you're used to White Mage and cast times. Once they get to 60, their rotations can get a little unforgiving though. I still find it fun.
Bard might be okay too. It's fairly easy to wrap your mind around. I personally find it super dull.
You also may just need more practice with SMN, it's a little weird at first from what I've experienced/seen.
Good luck!
