[To the Devs] New PvP Content is Needed for 3.1

From the live letter, it appears as if no new Wolves' Den content is going to be added in 3.1 and we will have to wait until 3.2 for it. However, we still need some sort of new PvP content for 3.1, as Seal Rock (Seize) being our only level 60 option for 3 more months can burn some people out.

As some players have suggested, new modes could be added to Seal Rock, such as Seal Rock (Secure). Also, based on the poll below I did on Seal Rock on pvpreborn.com, many players really seemed to have enjoyed Borderlands (Secure) in the past, so why not make a level 60 version of it? Thanks.

At the very least, if we are left with the same map and mode for 3.1, a simple level 60 Wolves' Den should be added so that those players interested in Den can try it out before seasons and rankings are released in 3.2.

Jubs wants the names of the dummies that voted for Slaughter. They need to be pushed off a cliff and never remembered from then forth.

New content... 1v1 dueling in open world and removal of GC from Frontlines is only content they need to add to drum up a bunch of interest, and create a bunch of new PvP adicts. And if SE had a clue... they'd know that people into PvP spend much time lvling new jobs simply solely for PvP. Which means SE makes more money keeping people around for a month or two instead of those people going on break till patch day. But I suppose SE doesn't want more money... as evident by them nearly going bankrupt by repeatedly making bad decisions.

I don't know about this. A lot of us went from 2.3 to 2.5 without any new mode, and we were fine. If new content comes out, it should effectively replace the old content, not sit along side it as Slaughter did with Secure. We need to tread carefully here. On top of GC restrictions, there were a few of us that had no appreciation for the new mode Slaughter, and the PVP community became fragmented, and everyone's queues became horrible. I'd like that not happen again. Seize is still very new and for the most part our queue times are good cause the community is mostly whole again. Let us wear the new mode out before going on to replace it.

It's probably too late to develop any serious content for a 3.1 release, but I would be happy with a level 60 wolves den with the same map which shouldn't be difficult to do. They could also add a small amount of exp to level 50 den so that it's in line with 30/40 den and it's an option (although a slow one) to level up to 60.

^ Jubs stopped PvP for 7 months cause Slaughter ruined Secure times. Did about 550 Secure matches up until... and maybe a dozen Slaughter, that's how terrible Slaughter is to Jubs. All jobs 50... so not having blm/smn/heals wasn't the problem, but was one of several problems. Rather not see this happen again.

My vote would have been for Secure. I'm indifferent to the RNG aspects of Seize. I just prefer something on smaller scale. Slaughter was absurd; it was too much. Seize, thankfully, takes it down a notch. 72 player is fine, but dealing with 72 people at once is not good, and when I'm sandwiched by Mael and Flames, the situation evokes the most horrible feeling I've ever experienced from a video game. That doesn't happen so often for to quit or complain, but it's something that made me realize why I like Secure.

On Aether Adder faction had a solid Secure team. They did not make the move to slaughter, greatly increasing ques. It was a shame since Aether had developed a reliable que system, 2 hours at 6pm est 2 hours at about 10est and all day sunday while I watched NFL. Never going over 10 mins during those windows. We will truly have to wait and see what happens when GC are removed.

The core base is fairly dedicated and will que if the matches keep popping since even the people who hated slaughter and Wolves Den dn't seem to mind seize even though it can be frustrating through no fault of your team.

I agree that Slaughter wasn't the best mode and shouldn't make a return, and most people can agree that Secure was much better. I don't believe that new content necessarily needs to replace old content in PvP, it should simply be there to offer more variety and with GC restriction removal, this should shorten queue times.

And Blubs, I agree, if they do in fact want to keep the same map and mode again for all of 3.1, at the very least, a lvl 60 Wolves' Den should be added so that players can at least begin trying it out with their new abilities before 3.2 and seasons come out.

Yeah, I think it will also give them a few months to get some feedback for balancing as well before seasons start

Slaughter was awful. I stopped PVP'ing for a few months cause of that crap mode. A game mode like that should be restricted to a full party at max. 24 vs 24 vs 24 was a mess.
