YOSHI, we Still Want Darkside Aura CHANGED!!!

You misunderstand.

It's not the color we had a problem with, we HATE the animation.

Please give us the blackish-flamed one from the DRK Questline (the one the NPC uses) instead.


Also, too many MCH Visuals are very underwhelming, please boost a few abilities' animations. Suggestions for that & other things here:

Cant you just turn off darkside aura when you arent fighting? I seriously cant believe this is even something to complain about.

Really... Really? Then you sir are playing the wrong game if darkside is too much for you. Better stay out of all combat and stay far away from any group content. Jeez, 24 man raids must just make your eyes bleed.

We would also STILL like to have it obey the settings so we don't have to see it if we don't want to.

I agree that it should be able to be turned off, and that should be done since it is a simple change

but as far as animations go, people are over-exaggerating how bad it is. It is alright wanting it changed but people should stop acting like it is more important than everyone else's issues, no other threads are constantly bumped just to so it will be on the first page

Thing is that the aura of darkness appeal is very core to the identity of a Dark Knight, aesthetically.

Underwhelming visuals on MCH is one thing but their identity isn't wrapped up in their visuals.

Consuming darkness is a part of the soul of a Dark Knight, so it is a bigger deal IMHO.

The darkness aesthetic is a huge chunk of the Job's draw.

Most DRK mains (taken from niche, forum sample) loathe how it was designed & it's a very persistent aspect to the Job.

Not only that, it feels silly when there's a preexisting version that's better ( in manys' opinion) in game already on NPC's.

It's worth fighting for the change on this one.

Man, seriously? This is starting to become as bad, if not as bad or even worse, than the STR vs VIT accessory and Bard arguments. In repeat of what I said in a previous Darkside thread, I agree that it should obey the graphic and special effect settings, but as for the animation itself... well... I would have preferred black flames on the body and red glowing eyes myself, but people are seriously over exaggerating how bad it actually is. It's not the prettiest thing I've seen among auras, but it's not THAT bad.

Not that I agree with the thread, but you do have an option to turn off battle effects for yourself, part members and others.

If they must keep it then fine but please allow me to turn it off in the settings.
