Windows 10 - Momentary Pauses using Xbox One Gamepad

I've been experiencing a repetitive issue with FFXIV since the Windows 10 update, where my gamepad will momentarily stop responding / "stick" on certain button push for approximately 2-3 seconds.

It seems to happen roughly every 15 minutes or so and then be perfectly fine until the next interruption.

I'm running FFXIV in Borderless Windowed mode at max graphics settings. So far, this is the only game that appears to suffer from this.

I've uninstalled a bunch of unnecessary applications that I'm not using and could be running in the background, and also ensured that all other visibly open applications are closed.

The only thing I have noticed is that the Xbox button has trouble recognising the game in order to bring up the DVR functions. Instead I get an error reading something along the lines of "Unable to update settings" when I tell it that FFXIV is a game. Again, only FFXIV seems to suffer from this, to date.

Did you updated/installed the driver? Looks like the Controller is resetting itself.

I'll certainly give it a go, but everything I've found so far seems to suggest it's "out of the box" supported in W10, so shouldn't need a manual driver install.

It is only FFXIV that's having this issue.

Turns out, that made it worse ;) The drivers from the MS website are for Windows 8.1 and below. Installing on Windows 10 causes half the pad to stop working!

The hunt continues...

Yeah, one of the features of Windows 10 is built-in support for all Xbox One peripherals, so manually installing the driver shouldn't be necessary.

I haven't noticed this and I do Win10 + Xbox One controller as well. Will keep on the lookout tonight, maybe it'll pop up.
